Time to reflect only starts when ones conscience catches up to the reality and peers back at the origins of it all... that gaze the most important in it's implication set's the goals for future discourse.
Pakistan has NOT reached that stage yet... it is still sleepwalking, feeling and touching it's way.
Russians have the benefit of continuity but that had it's ebbs and flows yet perhaps can reflect back a bit farther than the rest. The benefit of hindsight is immense!
People forget the modern world was not brought about by democracy or peoples voice... it was by Weapons and Finance(weaponized), ones that follow suite only do so, at the end of the dotted line.

There is a sad habit of far too much pondering of what could have been and far less recognition of that which has been achieved. If's and but's always exist, but we Pakistanis seem to wallow in that state to a point of psychological paralysis.
I have never been able to understand that aspect of our behaviour, not in real interactions, and especially not in the past year, the year of my exploration of social media. Although, I have come across few positive lights.

Actually, on CPEC I think we have misread the Chinese intentions and its purpose very poorly, due to the lack of that understanding, we have failed to take full advantage. The only positive being that it is still active and moving forward.
