The Indian Islam - Deen i Ilahi

How do you know you are following the right 'Religion'?
Our Prophet S.A.W. said so. For proofs of its authenticity, I can give you other links.

Forceful conversion simply isn't possible, one would simply fake being Muslim father than actually believing in it.
No. It is possible. Two families did under duress here. Their Hindu neighbors left, and some of our Tableeghi folks bought the surrounding houses. These retired folks apparently faced some issues but were poor. One Robin Hood kinda guy in our locality with political support (yes, we also have it here, trust me) said that their safety could no longer be guaranteed. Politely. They accepted Islam.

You are right. Their acceptance may well be only convenience. But any future generation (not in this case though) will be more rooted to our culture and ways of life. Bottomline: It works.

Well no, some forced convert guys descendants would almost certainly go back to Hinduism. It's unlikely they'd remain Muslim, they'd be taught to act Muslim, not actually be it. This would continue through their lineage, until they no longer had to keep up the act and could remain Hindu.

Anyway, this particular example doesn't even really sound like a forced conversion.

Technically it is not possible. Going back to Hinduism is an option only if they move to a place that is Hindu majority. Else people adjust and conform to local customs. In a couple of generations there remains no difference. Actually reverts have more zeal, as far as i have noticed.

'Muslims' in India should wear the 'Crescent' on their sleeves as the Mark of the Beast and should be given RFID Adhaar cards

Lots of Deen i Ilahi Azadists Kalamists have crept into PDF.

. .
no no no no no no

totally different
you cannot say that sir....

Sufism existed long before deen i ilahi came about in the sub continent. for example Deen i Ilahi was countered by foremost the Sufis of the time.

you can say Shahrukh Khan and Javed Akhtar and such people follow Deen i Ilahi but not the sufis.
SRK follows sufism.

. . . .
You need to redefine Sufism and Deen i Ilahi.
I have no interest in deen i ilahi.

If you are really interested to know about sufism, then read about lives of:
1. Hazrat Muhammad SAW
2. Hazrat Ali RA
3. Hazrat Owais Karni RA
4. Hazrat Bilal RA

Then,
Hazrat Hasan Basri RA.

Then,
1. Hazrat Abul Qadir Jillani RA.
2. Hazrat Baba Fareed RA
3. Hazrat Molana Rumi RA
4. Baba Bulleh Shah RA

Then,
1. Allama Iqbal
2. Wasif Ali Wasif
3. Ashfaq Ahmed

I asked you a simple question.

Help me a little. What is the difference between Deen i Ilahi and Sufism ?

Mohammad brought Islam to Arabia not Sufism.

Some replies are not that simple even though the questions maybe.

My friend, You don't need help in understanding difference because you have deduced a conclusion in the last line of your post already.

Anyways,

Hazrat Muhammad SAW set the seed of divine love which sprouted into Sufism. He fell in divine love of Allah and then Hazrat Muhammad SAW also became beloved of Allah. This is Sufism.

Hazrat Ali RA is known as Sher e Khuda. He slept on the bed of Hazrat Muhammad SAW. He RA showed faith, blind love and had NO doubt in his mind whatsoever regarding his duty that night, this is Sufism.

Hazrat Owais Karni RA remained in thoughts of his beloved Hazrat Muhammad SAW sitting thousands of miles away, this is Sufism.

I have given you a head start.

Thanks

a couple of transgressions from me if i am allowed.

Owais is never documented to have met Mohammad.
The title Asadullah was given to Hamza, uncle of Mohammad, for he was brave and used to hunt lions as well.

and

Are you implying that Sufism sprouted from Islam and thus by definition is a new concept? Like when the Greek mythology and Persian mythology first started influencing Islamic theology?

P.s. I have rudimentary knowledge of Islam.

I have read the same.

There is something very unique about the title, sher-e-khuda(Lion of Allah) given to Hazrat Ali R.A

Its about faith and belief that what im tasked to do, I will do it out of love(ishq) for Hazrat Muhammad SAW. This is belief/Faith in Allah's plan and Love for hazrat Muhammad SAW to stare in eyes of certain death during the sleep on bed in a house which was to be attacked that night and it was attacked. Hazrat Ali R.A was immensely blessed by Allah.

No person would do this deed for their parents even.

What i see in sufism is divine love and blind faith. These two attributes makes a person closer to Allah and then he known in history and world, forever.
