But the point remains. A country that has allocated 686 billion dollars as its military ( "defense" ) budget for 2019, does not have the money and resources, or will not spend, to give homeless people a basic necessity in life - homes.

This country's government goes about invading some countries where the system provides free basic necessities like housing, medical system, electricity, water etc.

They're not perfect, nobody is.

Their military allocation is actually 700 billion + now.

Not a fan of their interventionist foreign policy but they also occupy a unique position in the global hierarchy. The situation is not as black and white as you seem to believe. Very naive of you to do so.

Freedom, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, free speech and the right to bear arms are good things afaic.

Hugo Chavez began the implementation of neighborhood-level Urban Farms whose purpose was to remove hunger from urban citizens. The recent food lines and empty supermarket shelves are precisely because of NATO-created destabilization situation whose end purpose is regime-change.

I actually do not know too much about their specific situation so I'd rather not get into a debate about it.

Socialism is a continuous experiment in finding out the most simple and scientific political system. Even Elon Musk wants Direct Democracy as the system that should govern the near-future Mars settlement. From there, Direct Democracy Socialism ( like how Libya had ) is the next natural step.

The Swiss have proper direct democracy, big fan of their system but again, like the scando nations, or Libya, just not implantable into any place on earth.

Representative democracy like we have is more workable, not perfect (nothing is) but still better than an overbearing political system like communism controlling people.

@jamahir ....Perspective of comparison in social life and structure between India and Pakistan is unfair...India is a place where creatures like Prgyan and terrorist sympathiser like naik and owasis can openly come and advocate their case...Our system may be not completely efficient but at least we have a system in place where a Muslim can be a PM, President, Chief of RAw and Chief IB.The very reason you complain about India wrt Pakistan, Pakistan as a nation is created for the reason to be for supremacy of a single religion...How can you expect the behavior of majority of both countries behave in the same way??

if India says a Muslim can not be a PM then it is against the law but this is fine if any Hindu is prevented to be a PM of Pakistan...This is the biggest contribution of Indian civilization and Hindus in particular to our part of the world.Leaving aside West, How many countries will embrace to make minority and equal player in building a nation in an open heart...
