Statistically a woman is more likely to get raped in Pakistan than in India. I urge pakistanis to get inspiration form indian civil society and discuss issues openly and demand improvements. Nothing will happen overnight but hiding stuff under a false sense of honor will never change anything.

The society of india is very worst in human rights n especially for women n this gang rape was another example of that n the main reason is that its because of the Sexual frustration that is given to the people there through its media n movies.......
Where as in Pak there is not much problem here as there is not much sexual content made or shown in media.

So blaming or comparing with a Muslim country whose religion strongly prohibits such activities is totally nonsense.
It wont help them to stop these things in their own country.

In the link it talked about an incident and the person was caught, beaten up and handed over to police. But interestingly you chose to use one off incident for all the participating ladies in the protest. You don't know how crazy and angry that crowd would be so if someone is caught doing such a stupid act will really be handled in the best of the public ways possible.

Show me when such protests happened in Pakistan from the times of Mukhtaran mai to the recent cases of rape of 5 minor girls by landlords for asking for the wages.

Its funny that Pakistanis here are lecturing Indians (on a thread about Pakistani women) where the instances of rape in Pakistan (per capita) are almost 2 times that of India if you go by this (Pakistani) source

and this does not count 25 million odd underage marriages every year that are considered statuary rape in most countries

Yup the accused was arrested. However the accused settled things with the police and escaped.

However, he reportedly managed to escape. The police have sent two teams to look for the accused.

Just one Bharati said we should take inspiration from India. I hope we don't do this. I don't want to see people molesting women in the protests against sexual harassment in Karachi or Lahore.
