Do you think the lockdown imposed by the government should be extended?” In response to this question, 47% Pakistanis agreed that the lockdown should be extended while 53% said it should not be extended.

COVID-19 and the related shut down has taken a massive toll on most economies. Pakistan was already going through a painful restructuring process when COVID-19 hit, so it would stand to reason that it'll look for additional revenues via loans from various sources to cope with the resultant shortfalls.

And next time refrain from being an arse and putting asking in quotes.

This is what happens when one takes polls on face value. There is no mention of the sample size and the question posed in which manner.

Previous governments have used this tactics for their advantage as well.

The same tactic can be used to show previous governments to be angels compared to this government.

Retrofitting narratives to match the current high is not a hallmark of a leader but of a sad man clinging to power by whatever means necessary.

This is what happens when one takes polls on face value. There is no mention of the sample size and the question posed in which manner.

Polls can be wrong, but it is a snapshot in time of public perception and it has been conducted by a very credible organization, and not commissioned by the PTI.

In any case, as I mentioned in my post with the polls, we'll have to wait and see how the trends look.
