The Glory of the Mughal Empire

The palaces that were given to them are not major palaces these are just smaller palaces that dot all over the country there are too many of such places for the government to control and take care of and preserve. The main palaces that truly exemplifies the architecture and culture of the land are owned by the government. Most forts and larger palaces like in Rajasthan are under government control.

Okay. Good to know. I just personally believe that the Government of India should do well to preserve historical sites, especially royal palaces.

Uh no lol. Mughals did almost nothing for Islam in South Asia compared to older Muslim kingdoms. They actually hindered its progress at some instances by oppressing Hindus instead of giving them dawa. The only thing they did that helped was they allowed outsiders to come settle and these outsiders included many Sufis from Iran and the rest of the middle east who then went to work converting people.
That is all what we Turks could do. If you could have done it better. Pakistani should have made their own empire and exceed Mughul and other Turkic empires and make better mosque than Taj Mahal. J/K

I agree, but at the end of the day it all boils down to budget. The government simply doesn't have enough money to take care of all the historical sites. So because of it only larger historical sites get the attention since they are the one that bring tourist. While it is sad, we can't except much since money taken for such projects would have to come from some where.

Yes, that is true. The Mughal Empire was another force that was way and above pre-existing muslim precursor states.

Yeah the greatness of the Mughals is that they ,at their peak at least, united and established muslims all over the sub-coninent, from the southern tip of the sub-continent to the boundaries of the safavid empire.
Muslim administrative groups felt pretty 'confused' after the mughals were weakened. Mughals were truly marvellous in their administrative abilites.

Mate Taj Mahal is a burial place, its not a Mosque.

One can even credit the administrative processes of the Mughal Empire during the reign of Great Emperors such as Jahangir, Shah Jahan, Akbar the Great, Babur, Azam Shah etc for providing the basic tenets of regional administrative offices, regional governors, postal system, and thus contributed to the economic machine that allowed the transfer of goods and wares throughout all the corners of the BEHEMOTH that was the Mughal Empire.

These riches, these wealth ...is exactly what attracted European traders.

Ok. Lets search for the descendants of the imperial Maurya Empire, Gupta Empire, Rashtrakuta Empire, Chola Empire,
Pratihara Empire, Vijayanagar Empire and Maratha Empire and give them land.
Don't be ridiculous. There is no need to treat the descendants of the Mughals differently.

Not all these you listed are considered imperial by historians. Only Maurya, Mughal, and Maratha are usually considered imperial dynasties.

True, Mughals were masters of architecture, they made some great feat of forts and palaces.

They were also marvelous in their division of regional offices, and the postal system at the time. Wealth and goods travelled as far east as Bangla to as west as present day Afghanistan! As far north as Punjab and as far south as Hyderbad.

Aurgangzeb really sealed the deal for Muslims and Mughal rule in India when he started massive oppression against Hindus and Sikhs.
