IAI and its German partner Handsult will equip 4 old frigates with new radars. Within a year and a half, the Germans ordered radar for about 400 million euros from IAI, and in the coming years may double the order.

The German navy has chosen the Israeli MF STAR radar for its four 124F frigates, in a deal worth 200 million euros, which is divided equally between the two companies.
IAI's Elta Division will build the radars, and Handsult will supply some of their components and be responsible for their maintenance.

This is a radar similar to the one that will be installed in the four assault ships 6 that Israel purchased in Germany, although the German ships that will be equipped with it are significantly larger.
In the last year and a half, the German Ministry of Defense has purchased radars from IAI for a cumulative value of almost 400 million euros, including new radars for German air control units and tactical radars for the Army.
