The pic is of when China overhauled the pic when China received is not there. Why would China put a bow on a jet with out wings please be practical. No one take 9 months to overhaul I jet. You can built a new jet in less than 9 months bro.
Hi,
You are correct on that part in a way----.
But first overhaul of an aircraft takes longer than building an aircraft persay---.
First of all---in what reference are you using the comparison---first new aircraft built or a regular production aircraft.
Regular production aircraft is manufactured in a very short time---because all the parameters of production are known---.
For a general complete overhaul after the first life span of the FIRST aircraft to be overhauled---would be much longer in time frame by default---.
The aircraft is going to be dismantled and everything recorded---then the structure and all the parts and machinery are going to checked---re-checked---assessed and re-assessed for usage fatigue and other parameters of complete overhaul---.
From this checkup---a Mnaul would be created which would state what to look for---what to correct---what modifications are needed---what item has worked beyond expectations---what item has failed or has proved marginal---where to star---what nooks and corners to look for fatigued items---etc etc etc.
So---whatever has been found defective on this aircraft or whatever has worked beyond expectations---that will come out---.
So---the owner's manual for overhauling would be primarily based on the information gathered from the first aircraft---and any information found from subsequent aircraft would be added as well as more aircraft are over hauled---.
It takes a very short tie to manufacture a car on the assembly line---.
But try to re-furbish it---you will find out how tedious the job is---.
