What's new

The first batch of T-129 joined the Turkish Army

These T-129 just rolled out on time. PKK is ramping up their terrorist activities. Road block sabotage, kidnapping, massing of terrorist on our borders, how long are we going to tolerate this? We finally got the hammer, now we have to hit the nail.

Azrbaijani one is not certain but mentoned on some sources like that. Our Atak helicopter number to be produced will be exceeded 100+.
51+9+30 (option) is mentioned inside of current agrement. With expiration of around 20+ obsolete Cobras, The more T129 will be on the table...

@rockstar08 @HRK

Guys please. You know what the threads about.

Compact yes. But how much punch does it pack? Let say compared to Apache or Havoc.
Just about equal.

Thing is, Turkish rockets and ATGMs are lighter. For example MIZRAK-U is lighter than AGM 114 Hellfire by about 10 kilograms.

T129 should be able to fly with 12-16 ATGMs in AT configuration.. also there are sidewinder air to air missiles and laser guided rockets available.

Four Cirits replace one MIZRAK-U and you get 12 MIZRAK-U and 16 cirits under 4 wing pylons

Or if Roketsan pulls their heads out of their arses we can get a new rocket pod that holds 19 cirits so the standard configuration would have 38 cirits + 8 MIZRAK-Us + 2 sidewinders + the 20mm gatling cannon

Comparing a lightweight to a heavyweight is silly. AH-64 empty weight is T-129s Max take off weight.

That being said, officially T-129 can be equipped with same number of guided missiles as AH-64 and Mi-28.

I don't know what happened with their previous launcher designs, but they were perfect!

Atak can carry 12 anti-tank misiles easily. At anti-tank configuration Atak, 16 Mizrak missiles on 4 wing paylon is also under the limits (Each wing is able to carry 600kg load) of Atak but Configuration is established with 8 AT missiles+Cirit. It is because of meeting required high-hot performance of Turkish Land Forces without loosing any performance parameters.
