What's new

The F-35 just proved it can take Russian or Chinese airspace without firing a shot

.
This news is trying to convince the public that their investment in F-35 is worth it by mentioning Russia and China. Well seems like other socials sites are smarter.

.
Test in own territories doesn't meant it work well when flying over hostile areas.

I could never find any error in my program when I test it, as soon as I give it to end user they F*ing find an error every time they hit a return key :(

.
Looks like the F-35 is making China and Russia nervous.

But Gambit, There were a lot of threads in this forum that claim that China has stolen F-35 technology. So they should already know about this bird, aren't they? Isn't it that mean this bird (F-35) is already obsolete, as the secret is already known by the enemy? Or, they actually didn't steal the technology? This make me confused

.
No. YOU are mistaken. We have our opinions, except mine is based upon nearly 19 yrs of military aviation experience, in and out of the USAF. How about you ?

Stop using capitals and bold fonts. You don't impress me.

Mine is based on non-arrogance and reality. You are indoctrinated to believe that you are invincible. I hate to burst your bubble. Get off the high horse. You can't do much to China and Russia. I say this with absolute and unequivocal authority. Those F-35s won't hurt them. You know this too, but are too stubborn and arrogant to admit.

You are just flexing muscles on a discussion forum. If you are truly a military professional you wouldn't be wasting time arguing about how great and wonderful you are. You would act in a humble and graceful manner. That's always too much to ask I guess.

You are looking for the word compromised. Yes, according to the Americans themselves the F-35 has been compromised badly. China has supposedly hacked and stolen sensitive data related to this fighter. This is obviously sour grapes. Gambit has other problems though. He thinks his country is invincible and can trounce Russia and China with a blink of an eye.

another trap for alliance to buy f-35

We know the history of this fighter. The project has been lambasted by many knowledgeable people within US circles. An overly priced fighter that is still reeling from many technical glitches. This fighter has been very controversial among member nations as well. Some have considered getting out, but it is too late for that. Too much effort, time and money has already gone into the project.

Wikipedia was founded only 15 years ago, silly boy.
But I grant you Google was founded nearly 19 years ago.

RQ-170 disassembled years ago !

They can have body structure for free :D

Ignorant Iranians!

Its was stealthy and far beyond your inferior technology and comprehension. You should not have been able to do that! Why can't you listen to the selfproclaimed internet expert opinions?!

Sarcasm !!!

.
Kinda strange if you have this "Technology" why would you give it away ? In news ?

Also , would that not just mean enemy fire power will be directed at the home base instead of finding the stealth Plane

If the base is lost , where will the plane land ? Laos ? Or Philippines
Can F-35 land on top of water?

Also what if the Chinese /Russian stealth plane , came above that Mighty Aegis base and dropped a cookie

I say this with absolute and unequivocal authority.
It really amazing that you do not see the contradiction.

If you are truly a military professional you wouldn't be wasting time arguing about how great and wonderful you are. You would act in a humble and graceful manner. That's always too much to ask I guess.
Likewise, if you know you have never served in the military, you would have never spoke with 'absolute and unequivocal authority' on a subject you know nothing about.

The Americans on this forum have represented the US Army, US Navy, and US Air Force. We have posted detailed explanations on how things work and what the military life is like in ways that most sensible people know that only veterans would know. We have done it out of proportion to how many Americans are there on this forum.

What offends us the most is NOT the insults the likes of you leveled at us, but at the gross ignorance the likes of you revealed on the theme of this forum: the military.

China and Russia would smoke the F-35 before it even enters their airspace.

How ? Based upon what ? Your military experience ?

What you missed about the article is that the F-35 does not need to enter Chinese airspace in order to observe and send what it observed to a third party.

Yes, the article does say this...

This means that an F-35 can stealthily enter heavily contested enemy air space,...
But the F-35's radar can enable the F-35 to look over a country's border without crossing said border. We have done such sidescan operations with the old SR-71 cameras. So what make you think we must cross Chinese airspace in order to observe ?

With this test, the US further reinforce our lead in tactical network enable combat techniques, something your Chinese friends are still struggling with.

Here is what the article said...

...its sensors spotted an airborne target, sent the data to an Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense site, and had the land-based outpost fire a missile to defeat the target — thereby destroying an airborne adversary without firing a single shot of its own.

The land based ABMD can be outside of those borders. If we can do it to a land based missile unit, we can do it to a sub based one.

The F-35 can stay outside a country's border, create a list of targets, and send that list to a land/sub based ballistic missile delivery system. That mean we can put Yulin naval base under threat and China would not know it, and if there is a shooting fight between US and China, we would be able to target all vital mainland China vital defense basing before the first bullet.

You think we are amateurs at this ?

You want to see arrogance ? Go look in the mirror.,

Being a janitor on an aircraft carrier is NOT military experience bud
A janitor on an aircraft carrier would be more of an expert than all you COMBINED.

The F-111 was controversial, and yet it became the Soviet's most feared penetration fighter-bomber. That fear was confirmed by Adolf Tolkachev when he sent to the West the Kremlin's lack of response to the F-111s in England.

The F-16 has its own technical issues, and yet it is better than anything your China have yet produced.

Face it, kid. Any of our jet with technical issues is still better than the stuff your China is trying to replicate.

With American "Third Offset" military technologies emphasizing networked communications and data sharing between distant platforms, China's response is soaring in response.

The offensive applications of the Divine Eagle are demonstrated here, as two Divine Eagles mark out not just the enemy aircraft carrier, but also its escorting warships and aviation wing, while vectoring friendly aircraft and ships into combat. One presumes that the Divine Eagle would also be able to find targets for the infamous DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missile.

Other radars like the “F-22 killer”JY-26 “have raised concerns in the American military that they could track stealth aircraft like the F-35 fighter and B-2 bomber at long ranges,”Popular Science magazine reports

When two opponents are similarly equipped, the one with the most experience usually have the better odds of victory.

Likewise China have huge geographic advantage. The vast distances in Asia Pacific makes deployment of the short range F35 very complicated.
