The extradition question

Please provide information about any Pakistan's extradition treaty with US.

They don't even need extradition treaty to extradite people to Gitmo, they don't even need evidence, they don't even have to go to court to hand over people to US. But when it comes to India, it all changes, every rule in the book will be used to obfuscate the issue. Do you know why?. It is because US is powerful. People will listen only when you are powerful, of course exceptions are there, for example, not allowing people to investigate nuclear proliferator AQ Khan who might have spilled the beans about the state involvement in the proliferation.

Don't dare extradite him. Make an example out of him ourselves publicly especially if he admits to it. These people whether they are perceived as assets or not must be made to respect and fear the Pakistani state. Our national integrity is at stake otherwise it's pointless.

This is my own stand as well. Give us proof and we should punish them if they are guilty. If proven guilty of the crimes they are accused of committing, we should put these guys through some punishment as they are a nuisance to Pakistan. On the other hand, India should avoid trying to pressure Pakistan through coercive means.

No Pakistani citizen has been sent to the US from Pakistan. The Pakistani citizens that you hear about in Gitmo were all captured in Afghanistan by the Northern Alliance and shipped off to the US for money even though many of the accusations have been proven false.

Secondly, Pakistan as a country has all the right to protect her interests. If that means that people like AQ Khan should be shielded from outside investigators then so be it. We are not the only ones protecting ourselves on this count. I can list quite a few other countries doing the same.
