Advances in technology are allowing fighter pilots to kill each other from as far away as possible. That means if a pilot is close enough to actually see the enemy, "something’s probably gone wrong,” says one airman.

27th feb also revalidated the same thing. See first shoot first, because if you think you are looking at the enemy, that means u have already lost it!
A2A have become a more of an electronic combat, the one with a better sensors, better understanding of the machine will stand out.

The video also implies that with rise of stealth technology, planes reaching each others WVR also increases and they might find themselves in a dogfight more often.
