How? As I pointed out, Haqqani, Musharraf, Lodhi, Shuja Nawaz etc. have all been frequenting the airwaves pushing Pakistan's cause, and reaching millions more than any 'conference by the local chapter of APPNA' could reach.
Their efforts have been stymied and negated by the anti-Pakistan narrative pushed through the US Establishments smear campaign against Pakistan. The diaspora's efforts are going to have a similarly negligible impact in the face of the propaganda from the US Establishment.
Au contraire Dear Sir.
Those names that you mention generally come across as idiots of various persuasions, no offence intended. While the mainstream media works by cute soundbites, the real policies are influenced in golf clubs and fundraisers and charity balls, where the diaspora mix with others. The airwaves makes for ratings, but real personal connections matter much more. Not the names that you mention, but US citizens of Pakistani ancestry. Those are the people that need to be organized and motivated further, and not just inside the Beltway, but all across the US.
Trust me, I know of what I speak.
