What's new

The disconnected diaspora of Pakistan

.
If Pakistan’s diaspora is indeed so angry, why is only about 10% drop in remittances?

lol that’s significant. Many more will send through illegal means.

Makes no difference. Most of those expats with families in those countries cut off ties with Pak anyways. Those with families will keep sending money.

That said for how long will Pak rely on a few billion dollars from remittances without doing anything to help itself.
A wake up call.

Not accurate bro. Many expats (including myself) pump millions of rupees into charitable projects, investments etc. You can then add the lobbying the community used to do.
I’m afraid the economic repercussions are going to be grave.

. . . . .
They hate the regular route which is now under an illegal domain.

It is completely lawful to send money to Pakistan. It is however an illegal activity to launder money either to or from Pakistan.

There is no need to wage a financial war against government of Pakistan. They have promised to abolish interest which is an incentive for anyone looking to do business with them.

Took me a while to figure out he was speaking good ol' Urdu, heh!

What's the deal with this mixed Urdu/English (Urdlish?) bullsh!t with a fake-arse Western accent overseas burgers seem to love?

Some bloke I know spent like 2-3 years in Canada and all of a sudden he was having difficulty speaking Urdu, a language he spoke for 20 odd years!

Talk about inferiorty complexion!
It's more like your mouth muscles get all screwed up when you start speaking multiple languages. If you speak more than 1 language, you're almost guaranteed to have a slight accent at the very least.

I know a British guy who stayed in Canada for a couple of years to study, who went back to the UK for a few months and they roasted him for having an Canadian/American accent.

Yes there is hope the corruption cases will go away for our corrupt nawaz.

You have to look no further than the flood donation campaign; they had to bring IK on the telethon to raise funds, but it wasn't as much as they expected in the past. The other fear is the government can clamp down on the account; the Sharif Family has a record of dollar account takeover.

Oh shut up
What's your fake arse accent?
Punjabi Urdu or Sindhi Urdu?
Children born in English speaking countries will have local accent even if speaking Urdu.
Then parents even if born and brought up in Pakistan, need to speak English with their kids and certain words of urdu or local language they spoke, tends to be forgotten.
Then there are those who think speaking English is better than speaking Urdu. Such as your whole parliament and all politicians.

.
Such behavior has destroyed the fabric of our great nation Pakistan

You know if we didn’t have doctors and other professionals like this in USA and other western nations people around the world would think all Pakistanis are either low end labor people or crooks like zadari mr 10% or money laundering champions exposed in Panama Papers like Nawaz Sharif or terrorists trained by Pak army.

Nice summary of overseas idiots

Look we all know you are some sorry Pakistan educated XYZ school and probably don’t have employment mobility ie go to a foreign western country and jockey for competitive jobs against 100s and 1000s of competitive candidates and then surviving and thriving in those environments that has made you jealous of them.

They live a nice life with out chachoo whisky helping them out…

It is also illegal to arrest 10s and thousands of people for peaceful protest,

It also illegal to disobey court orders

It is also illegal to have so many criminals in gov

It also illegal to have a military to intervene in political matters

Do you really want me to continue ?

They’re engaging in extrajudicial killings, mass detention and robbery of funds.
I’ll leave their promises to those who believe them.
A financial war is something they brought upon themselves, and one of many wars they will soon be engaged in.
