Vedic civilization started in modern Pakistan and then moved east word into modern Pakistan. Hinduism itself only became called that by the British before that there was no name for the religion people followed because British wanted to make sense of all the different beliefs in the subcontinent. So yes Pakistani ancestors converted from their old religion but they also were the ones who gave said religion to your ancestors. In essence they converted your ancestors.

Actually nobody knows the religion of the ancient IVC people.

Well Rig veda is not the foundation of hinduism as the indians claim.Rig veda was a independent book.A religious documents writen by the people of Indus valley civilization.

NOTE:I am talking about the earliest written parts of Rigveda which is also referred to as the true rig veda.Since later when the Rig veda was merged with Other religion forming One hinduism.Many changes were made into it.

but as the tribes moved from Indus to ganga plain,..so, brought it with them.....
