3. Tadbhava(তদ্ভব): Tadbhava means “generated from it”, these are the words that generated Sanskrit but aren’t Sanskrit themselves.Example: মনুষ্য->মানুষ(Manushya->Maanush)
4. Desi: These are the vernacular words that have been used by the local Bengali people for thousands of years. Example: কুলা (Kula), ঢেঁকি(Dheki)
5. Videsi : These are the words that came from foreign lands and languages. Example: টেবিল(Table-English), চেয়ার(Chair-English), চিনি(Chini,Suger-Chinese), সালাম(Peace Greeting-Arabic), রিক্সা (Rickshaw-Japanese), রোযা(Roza, Fasting-Persian)

Even though Bengali and Sanskrit are both Indo-aryan languages but Bengali has many words from other languages including Persian, English, Arabic or even Chinese and more. But at least 25% of the words came from Sanskrit (Tatsama and Ardha-Tatsama) and 67% indirectly corrupted from it (Tadbhava) . These are the words that Bengali borrowed but the language itself came from Magadhi Prakrit itself.

How can they resist? The medical treatment in Calcutta is designed around your Calcutta salaries which is minuscule compared to those of Dhaka (therefore almost half as cheap as in Dhaka). They come to treat in Calcutta because medical treatment is CHEAP.

You make it sound like Calcutta is the advanced medical science center of the universe and you are giving these Bangladeshis charity medical care.

I have seen both places. Your sad-sack back-dated Calcutta hospitals would fold up shop tomorrow if Bangladeshi medical tourists (mostly lower class) stopped coming, I doubt you have the gonads to stop it since business interests are involved. And if you did (like it seems with your lamba chowra baat) then what would you eat?

I am not against medical tourism, but if you see people from economically advanced countries never goes to other countries for treatment or let say studies, this is a basic requirement for development. You shouldn't pass your hard earned money to pass on other countries like India or Singapore.
And this is applicable to India as well.

Even the prime institution to promote Bengali language in West Bengal, the Paschimbongo Bangla Akademy, was built on the model of Bangla Academy in Dhaka, enough said.

Don't know what you were going to reply but to clear your doubts, I've heard it from West Bengalis themselves that Bengali language and culture are more alive and flourishing in Bangladesh than in West Bengal.

I wouldn't say it's a bad thing for you guys. As part of the Indian Union, you are entitled to better integrate with the rest of India making the distinct Bengali culture to take a back-seat. Wish you the best.
