Pakistan needs breathing space to develop. Since the 80s they have been bothered by Soviets, US and India constantly trying to take their strategic depth. Morons need to understand Afghan Taliban will back PA if there is war. Strategic depth will remain forever and no amount of love making with Afghan govt can change that.

China is the equaliser in this region and they can now focus on trade and investment. Backing out from Yemen conflict proves foreign policy is firm, Sartaj Aziz is wise.

All Pakistan needs is 10 years of peace and their economy will transform. Problem is battle of Fata is nearing an end and battle of Baluchistan is going to start. Still a long way to go.

What is most definitely obvious is Pak are not in the position to go to war for another country especially after having to endure 15 year NATO reign next door. Its an insult to the 50,000 Pakistanis dead to even ask. Inconsiderate people there are many.

That is a possibility that Pakistan would face as we have experienced with USA. China, Russia and USA all need Pakistan to keep India in line by supplying to weapons to defend itself from India.

China and America faces economic competition from India. If India develops economically anyway there is no point propping Pakistan to annoy India. This is the crux of my argument.

Russia does not any issues with India. We pose no remote threat to them. Russia has incentives to work with Pakistan on Afghanistan and Central Asia

i never understood the value of the economic corridor. the cost of transporting goods on land through Pakistan, Northern Territorry and Sinkiang is prohibitive compared to shipping to the Eastern China seaboard. It is easier and cheaper to build a railway line from Eastern China into Uiygurstan

in the long run pipelines from Siberia to China and Iran to China through Central Asia completely bypasses the Ocean

it makes sense only if China and Pakistan are planning a lot of economic commerce

India has to realize that its no match for pakistan in international and regional politics, we will keep on shaping the international and region consensus by if not something else but by just our location.
