I have issues with this

But Pakistan has consistently refused to accept the Line of Control as the border since the predominantly Muslim Kashmir Valley would remain as part of India.

The whole Kashmir issue is a waste of time and energy.
My take is, that India and Pakistan 're fighting somebody else's war. If Kashmir didnt exist, I dont think India and Pakistan would 've been at logger heads.

I thought it is done with mutual consent.
But yes India is willing to accept LoC as IB.

it has been prepared to accept the Line of Control as the international border, with some possible modifications.

You sure that India is willing to do so? The link you provided ids an article depicting possible solutions for Kashmir and not some solid news. Musharaf presented his four point solution which was realistic but was rejected by New Delhi.

As I remember, Musharaf also presented his own solution which also seemed fit for both Pak and India. Any ways, my solution is that India keep Ladakh and Jammu, Pak keep GB. Free the valley.

India does not have a border with Baluchistan and NWFP. Unless Afghanistan and Iran are active participants India cannot support insurgency there

Pakistan needs breathing space to develop. Since the 80s they have been bothered by Soviets, US and India constantly trying to take their strategic depth. Morons need to understand Afghan Taliban will back PA if there is war. Strategic depth will remain forever and no amount of love making with Afghan govt can change that.

China is the equaliser in this region and they can now focus on trade and investment. Backing out from Yemen conflict proves foreign policy is firm, Sartaj Aziz is wise.

All Pakistan needs is 10 years of peace and their economy will transform. Problem is battle of Fata is nearing an end and battle of Baluchistan is going to start. Still a long way to go.

What is most definitely obvious is Pak are not in the position to go to war for another country especially after having to endure 15 year NATO reign next door. Its an insult to the 50,000 Pakistanis dead to even ask. Inconsiderate people there are many.
