That was an entire generation change operation carried out by stealthy JAP's. Nankids know better than anyone else. Each stroke and blow had an effect of it's own, who knows he was creation of that moment.

We love to exhume the dead , rebury them only to start all over again.

1962 was light years ago. It helped India more than it helped China. Nine years later India created another country by applying the political & Military lessons learnt.

'India cannot match China's military force': Indian Naval Chief - IBNLive

New Delhi: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sureesh Mehta has set off a storm by saying India cannot match China's military force. Is it a warning from India's military that the government needs to hear?

"In military terms, both conventional and non-conventional, we neither have the capability nor the intention to match China force for force," said Admiral Sureesh Mehta.

For a nuclear-armed military representing the interests of a billion-plus people, the lack of confidence is quite striking. India's military leadership has made a stunning confession that New Delhi doesn't have the stomach for a fight, if push came to shove on the disputed Sino-Indian boundary.

"Whether in terms of GDP, defence spend or any other parameter, the gap between the two is too wide to bridge and is getting wider by the day," he said.

The difference of course being that in 1962, China and India had similar sized economies. Today, China's economy is FOUR times bigger, with commensurate military spending. Like your Naval Chief said, the gap has become too big to ever catch up, and it is widening every day.

No need for us to start it. They will start it themselves against China or Pakistan, and we will respond.

Look at their media like NDTV or Rediff, they are already begging for it.

China will launch an attack on India before 2012.

There is no doubt that 1962 was a morale-shattering and humiliating debacle... The political gameplan (if Nehru ever had one!) backfired completely and China s(rewed india big time. thats the truth and there's no denying that. But that was 50 years ago.. MY GAWD!!! FIFTY years!!! i never realised that myself before writing it!

The armed forces learnt from their mistakes..and they learnt it real fast.. the application was proven by a favourable draw in 1965 (whatever pakistanis think, doesn't matter..).. and then a total and complete victory over the arch-rivals in 1971... Actually that was the only victory India ever had in last 1000 years!!! (all said and done, mughals were invaders who defeated Indian kings...)

The politicians of course never learn,, they are too busy with politics . But the Indian defence forces have learnt their lessons well... if God forbid, there's a war next time with our northern neighbours, in spite of them being the stronger ones clearly, it will be a real blo0dy fight, and even if they punch us 10 times, we will surely be able to give back 9 times!!!! NOT BAD!!!!!
