What's bewada?
Anyway I pity people who offer these simplistic solutions to complex problems, like "ban alcohol, and our country will be all fine and dandy."
And I also pity people who need to resort to personal attacks because they find nothing else to say.
I never said ban alcohol. I said regulate the selling of alcoholic beverages. At least I gave a solution rather being sitting idle and just only discussing problem, hence being personal was required in your case.
That's a simplistic solution too. In fact it's not even a solution, it's a non-sequiter.
Alcohol is not what makes people commit crimes like this. That is simply an easy excuse, a favorite whipping-boy for people who want to blame all social ills on a particular object to avoid deeper introspection.
Anybody can come up with simplistic non-solutions like this. There is nothing grand about doing that.
According to your own country of residence the US department of Justice, more than 35% crimes were committed under influence of either some drug or alcohol. And the crime they commit terms out be more brutal. Like the rape case in delhi.

And in a country like India, influence of alcohol has more brutal and criminal outcomes.
Did you know that 100 percent of crimes were committed by people who drink water?
Water does not has property to stimulate your mind. And there is nothing wrong in regulating alcoholic beverages.
Neither does alcohol. It is a depressant, not a stimulant - the exact opposite. There is nothing right about it either.

Caffeine, cocaine etc are stimulants.
Alcohol, heroin etc are depressants.
Don't use words you don't know.
alcohol reduces your ability to think what is right and what is wrong. a water drinker will think at most 1 or 2 times but a drunk will not. so stop justifying that.
No, it doesn't - right, wrong etc are social value judgements. Drinking alcohol doesn't cause any normal person to go rape his neighbor - only people who already had a predilection to do so will do so. There are plenty of people who drink but don't go rape. As I said before, these are the common non-solutions offered by people who don't want to think deeper and introspect about what causes such behavior.
Also, just so you know, large quantities of alcohol causes complete impotence in men. Men will lose their urges, will lose their ability to get an erection or to be sexually aroused after a few drinks. In women it works completely differently.
But you have to stop asking for simplistic solutions like "regulate alcohol, and all will be fine". It is not alcohol, but a complete disregard for human rights, and a sadistic temperament that makes men sexually assault women.
is there any harm in regulating selling of alcohol? one can try and if does not work then okay you win.
It has been tried, most famously in the USA, during prohibition - crime rates INCREASED drastically, and that social experiment had to be withdrawn. Al Capone and other famous mafia leaders were a direct result of prohibition. The FBI had to be created as a direct result of the failed policy of prohibition.
Whenever government has tried to regulate human morality, the results have been disastrous.
