The European states, including Turkey, are highly secular and culturally almost the polar opposite of Islamic societies. Central Asian Turkic states are also of a strongly different culture, and would not accept the small voting bloc they would have.

The Gulf states will not be willing to share their wealth with 1 billion other citizens. You would effectively take Qatar's GDP (PPP) per capita of $110,000, and make it into 1/10 that (same goes for Oman, Bahrain, Saudi, Kuwait, and UAE). Iraq is exeperiencing a resurgence in oil wealth. Iran is Shia and most Sunnis won't even accept them anyway.

The Malaysian and Indonesians look like Atheists compared to the more radical sects of Islam in the Arab World.

In reality, this is never going to happen.

Your best bet is a unified Arab World (though without the Gulf states).

If we don't receive TR in the EU pretty soon we might loose them to the dark side

The dark side? LOL, what does Turkey have to offer the EU? It's getting too big anyway... The EU should accept the Balkan states, and that's it. If the remaining European states want to join (Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland) that have not already, then I think they should. Maybe in the future the last 4 E. European states.

The EU should not expand anymore, other than the last remaining European countries.

So basically it's nutty to think that this Ummah thing won't happen?

LOL ok buddy, good luck with your unified Arab-Turkic-Persian-Pashto-Urdu-Malay-Albanian-Bosnian nation-state.

I'm sure it'll happen any time soon now....
