The better growth model - India or China

An honest assessment is China have a better growth model on Economy.

An honest assessment is China have a better model for other countries economy.

The world does need a furnace to burn 50% of it's coal... and china has happily agreed to be that furnace.

don't worry.. ice is a far shot.

20% of world's population burning
50% of the world's coal, within
2% of world's land area (east china),

cannot have ice formation.

You should be worried if the average body temperature in PRC people rises from 37 degrees celsius to 74 degrees celsius.

Darwin called that process "evolution" ... birth of a new species.

Best of luck.

india is messy

it is running a country with pandemoniums one after the other on top of its ongoing military invlovement in its troubled states against the insurgencies. Just in 2012, the massive blackout, the anti-corruption protests, the Assam riot and now this rape and homicide tragedy.

In the recent global peace index, China ranks 89 out of 158 countries assessed while indian is at 142.
China is leading india in nearly all major civilized indices by some distance while the reverse is true (uncivilized indices) for india!

Seriously people

This is not even a news article, its MBA example essay

The insecurity of the OP and some Chinese members seems amusing. Almost as if they needs someone elses certificate to acknowledge China's development and the any writing of the contrary pisses them off, even if not a news article.

everyone can voice their opinions ,most people agree that this article is very biased.

Yes China is way ahead in every parametors......happy now .

I don't think that China is like us, at least not like our current state of being. But in some sectors China and Imperial Germany (pre WWI) have some communalities. Both were persuing ruthlessly industrialisation to overtake the strongest of its time, the UK in Germany's case, the US in China's case. Both were authocratic, centralistic and very hard working.

Modern Germany is politically more like India. We are feredalistic, democratic ... but we became so after we have become developed and rich.

You are correct my comparison was with that era - during the days of the European industrial revolution.

China is just not about Cheap labor. Its about effective governance and focus on education and R&D. China is example of using its population as a driving force for its economy by developing them in human resources.

true but is more focus on a labor force that make more quantities of products

Definitely china .. Poor and illiterate don't know whats good for them in long term...

If you have hundreds of millions of poor people, of course it's more sensible to focus on employment for the masses. That's the only sensible way to develop and reduce poverty fast and efficiently. But at the same time China is smart enough also to focus on mass education when they were still poor and now with trillions on their bank account we see the focus on higher education and R&D.

Any model which is combination of Indian democracy and Chinese financial growth

Fortunately, Germany is still an industrial power and we didn't follow the Anglo-American development to outsource production and focus on service industry.

There were many debates in the 1990s where our economy should head to. One minister at that time said that our economy cannot sustain if everyone becomes a hair dresser.

Any model which is combination of Indian democracy and Chinese financial growth

That cannot work. All developed economies were non-democratic during their industrialisation.

Granted that India has more political freedom in general, but China still seems a safer society. Thus, non-economically, ie. poltitically, socially, etc. I wouldn’t say China is inferior.

But economically, if China fails to harness income gap, its economic merits should be questioned.

Only time can tell.

Sounds true. But Time is endless, thus it can never be told per your logic.

We have to add "so far", " up to now", to truncate the time and get a snapshot on that time line.

Well both india great ideas that could be use by other countries like innovations which they have foot hold too while china has cheap labor to create large volume of goods and state checks on the population without the propaganda and the inhuman acts

And The Philippines have even cheaper labor, but they produce zero volume of goods ... errh except servants and nannies.

true but is more focus on a labor force that make more quantities of products

Bette than wasting lives making nothing.
