Mel Gibson is not my favorite person, but this is an excellent movie unless you have been in a war. Then it can be somewhat stressful. The first half, I thought, so this is how Americans train to go to war. The second half, when the Americans go into LZ X-Ray was entirely too close to the real thing for comfort, even given the differences in topography and vegetation.
