Yes, this is the story of Israeli defense technologies:

The famous Uzi submachinegun emerged following the experience of infamous Tel-Mutila skrimish of 1951.
The Galil assault rifle emerged following the experience with FN FAL in 1967.
Gabriel ASM was created in response to the sinking of INS Eilat in 1967.
Dozens of defense technoligies, including ATGMs, Blazer ERA, drones and loitering munitions, aerial decoys, e.t.c emerged after 1973 Yom Kippur war.
Achzarit and other HAPCs, remote controlled weapon stations, were created according to experience of South Lebanon conflict (1985–2000).
Arrow ABM - result of the Gulf War.
Trophy and Iron Fist were the result of Second Lebanon War of 2006.
Iron Dome - result of Gaza wars.

No offense taken, Yom Kippur war indeed was the origin of many Israeli defense technologies and futhermore structural changes in the army.
It still has some effects on the society as well, the possibility of, actually, using nuclear weapons, not just having them stored just in case, was born then, on the third day of that war.
