Tunnels built by smugglers and terrorist groups on the border line between Algeria and Tunisia, but also with Libya are currently being dismantled by the army forces, who conduct large sweeps in these border regions. The operation, conducted jointly with the Tunisian armed forces, was started in the night of Friday to Saturday, and concerned in particular the destruction of tunnels and spanned three countries.Smuggling, arms trafficking and transit of terrorists who mostly joined Mount Chaambi Tunisia and became a sieve and hundreds of terrorists are installed, go through these tunnels, discovered in fact since the late 2013 In recent days, the vigilance of the security has been strengthened as a result of the deteriorating situation in Libya, where a lot of amazing weapons of war has passed into Tunisia, according to the Tunisian security services, quoted by the local press. For tunnels dug by terrorists, they are the work of jihadists of Al Qaeda groups from Syria, mainly Palestinians, who have thus reproduced the model tunnels in Gaza border areas between Tunisia and Libya, then with Algeria. After destroying tunnels used by smugglers so far, the Algerian security services have found that these tunnels were reconstructed with defense systems including landmines. Since extensive search operations conducted by the ANP were launched in these areas for some time, the last one dating back to last Friday. TUNNEL FOR DELIVERING WEAPONS In fact, it is reported that the Tunisian press information , citing Algerian and Tunisian security sources. The sweep these tunnels could take several days. This past February, already, these tunnels were spotted, and immediately destroyed. They were, according to some sources, constructed by Palestinian terrorists affiliated with al Qaeda. The Algerian security services had the first ?? 'sniffed' this trick terrorist Al Qaida groups, where these groups were evaporating Mount Chaambi after clashes with the Tunisian army, or after committing their crimes in the region . Thus they were able to escape each time the Tunisian army. Tunisian newspaper also reported in the same month of February 2014, that ?? ' thanks to the Algerian these tunnels dug by Palestinian jihadists were discovered "army. The same newspaper also reported that Tunisian ?? 'achieving these tunnels was planned by a Gulf country for installation at the Algerian-Tunisian border to a training camp for terrorists to return to Syria. " Last June, in addition, the combined forces of the PNA had already destroyed 60 tunnels used by the terrorists of Al Qaeda to break into Algeria from Tunisia. The influx of jihadists from Syria, especially the Maghreb and the Palestinians, has caused a real commotion combat in Algeria and Tunisia, exposed two years since the terrorist attacks, which can not dislodge a large number of Al Qaida terrorists in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), firmly established in Jebel Chaambi and Kasserine. Faced with this danger, Algeria, in addition to the grid of border areas by brigades Grades borders of the National Gendarmerie (GGF), decided to deploy along the border line with Tunisia and Libya 14,000 soldiers, while Tunisia has deployed 6,000 soldiers on his side having joined those Algerians to secure the borders between the two countries. Tunnels "terrorists" in Tunisia: Media caught between the non-verified facts and the "best interests of the country"

Posted Sunday, August 17 by the daily Essarih and relayed by electronic sites and private radio stations, information regarding the discovery of tunnels linking Tunisia, Algeria and Libya was immediately denied by the Tunisian Ministry of the Interior .

Denouncing "a groundless information that common sense rejects due to geographical features of the region," the ministry has expressed her surprise that some media continue disseminating "false news likely to affect to national security. "

Citing Tunisian and Algerian security sources, Essarih affirmed the existence of tunnels built between Libya, Tunisia and Algeria by "linked to al-Qaida terrorists."

Describing Mount Châambi of "a sieve", the Quotidien d'Oran took over the information , reporting that the achievement of the tunnels would have been "planned by a Gulf country for installation at the Algerian-Tunisian border a training camp for terrorists to return from Syria "(sic).

The "mass media" and "the best interests of the country"

In a statement, the Interior Ministry lamented the lack of verification from official sources by the media concerned.

Referring to "this period" clearly defined by the "fight against terrorism", the ministry also called "mass media" to verify "the accuracy of the source is not credible and that the goal is certainly not serve the best interest of the country. "

The Interior Ministry did so conflates a possible lack of professionalism of some media and its alleged role in the protection of a "best interest of the country."

If verified the information is indeed crucial - "fight against terrorism" or not - the goal of an independent media is however not serve the "best interests of the country", a term undefined and largely politicized .

Rather than presenting solid revelations, rumors about "terrorists" came tunnels feeding the standoff between the Interior Ministry and the actors of the fourth power, notably marked by the recent unilateral closure of several media .

Arab spring...Arabs are not known for their farming effeciency...
They tried to destroy Algeria in the 90's and fail, then went Somalia and wrecked it, from their to Yemen and turned it into a wasteland, from there they jumped to Libya and made it a flea market, then to Syria, Egypt , Tunisia, and then revisited Iraq. that's the Banu Hilal of the 16th century being recreated and sent free to loot, murder..... Morocco is a Beni hillalist as Jordan and the GCC. Morocco have a big stomach with no food to fill it...so they are smocking a big join and dreaming of establishing a Greater Morocco...
