Like he valued Indian culture,

He supported India against British.


Truth is he probably saw Indians the same way he saw European gypsies.

And he wanted to replicate British colonization of India on the Soviet Union.

Good thing he never made it to India.

Nationalism is not a bad word in India yet (unlike many places in europe). Many Indians like hitler for his love of his own country and also support to INA.
Also, Indians never suffered the horror that hitler unleased directly.
Most importantly, he is still a bit of enigma, not much taught about him in India, hence the curiocity.

It has nothing to do with jews btw, most Indians dont even know what jew means. They know israel , because of israel palestine issue (and anti terrorism)

Any contrary assertions must deal with the atrocities committed in the Andamans after the Japanese entered there.

This probably ignored considering those people who faced the atrocities happened to be tribals, also its kinda ironic that an Indian jurist Radha Binod Pal was defending Japanese during the war crimes trial.

Oddly, I agree with Radha Binod Pal on the merits of his dissent on the war crimes tribunal. What he said & I believe was correct in doing so, was that all sides were guilty of war crimes & holding the senior Japanese leadership as alone being responsible was wrong & just victors justice. I'm sure the victims of the Japanese feel very differently. I actually believe that Indians liking of both Japanese & the Germans was simply because we had to suffer neither & also probably because the Indian army handed the Japanese their biggest land defeat . Also probably why India waived off all reparation claims against Japan in 1952.

He actually did. He once said that the British should hold on to India no matter what & that Gandhi should be shot. This was the man who believed in Aryan(regardless of the origin of the word, India didn't qualify to be treated as an equal) supremacy to such a point that he ordered whole sale elimination of both the jews & the gypsies (who sadly don't get the same attention as the jews). Gypsies btw are originally of Indian stock. Had Hitler or the Japanese gotten into India, we could have expected as harsh a treatment as some of the other captured countries. Silly Indian notions about this issue is largely driven by hero worshiping of Subas Chandra Bose. In reality Bose would have been discarded into a dustbin had either the Germans or the Japanese taken control of India. The same can be said about the hero worshiping by Communists (of all kinds) of Stalin & Mao while the Russians & Chinese (to some extent) have removed them from the hero status from their own countries..may be it has to do with the fact that Communists or in that case Indians as a whole never had to face The Great Purge or The Great Leap Forward or The Cultural revolution.

Other reason is Japan being an Asian power puncturing the myth of Western supremacy in the colonial era.
