Outdated design which is like outdated Rafale, Gripen and EFT.
Outdated engine used in F-18s , GE which is worst in world.
Outdated avionics even though the latest from Isreal.
Outdated weapons from Russia, France and India (lol).
Outdated safety records.
Outdated future plans with another Outdated General electrical engine coming up.
Outdated HUD , outdated structure wilth the old technology composite. etc.

Seriously mate. At least change the name we hear LCA for past 30 years and still not operational. The day LCA fully operations i think Govt should declare holiday.

What we learn from LCA is that is to take step by step things so that you will get proper progress.

I have learned two best ways to earn the brownie points.
1: If unable to counter a point then attack the OP and paste his history.
2: When defending a subject, name and involve every country under the Sun and still call it INDIGENOUS.

You are talking as if JF 17 is indigenous and made by Pakistan only, (rather call it FC 1 Pakistan/China)

No one ever claimed that, in fact the pre-fix JF is self exp;explanatory alas Joint Fighter.

Therefore LCA is indigenous as its not a joint project, India is making it itself with improvising it with avionics and engines bought from other countries which make it a good class fighter for India, it gives them an edge over Pakistan by this as Pakistan is still not capable of making its own fighter all by its own whereas India has done it, both in an attack helicopter too LCH and also a medium lift heli Dhruv. This gives it a lot of experience in Air designs which will help it in future like AMCA and also you have seen how fast the Naval LCA has come out compared to Tejas.

Seriously its quite funny to see how Pakistan boasts about its JF 17, its not a thing made by you alone its with China, the name of plane is FC 1 Made by China/Pakistan not jsut Pakistan. Its like HAL says its made Sukhoi but no it just assembles them in India.

No body attacking OP in this thread but raised valid question for So called Prof. No body takes him even with a pinch of salt just like you don't accept when some bloggers claim Jf 17 as Souped up Mig21.

While all good self appeasement to say, one has to remember that the requirements and dynamics about Industry for India vs Pakistan are worlds apart. India is seeking self sufficiency.. Pakistan is seeking sanction proof sufficiency.
India HAS to build it at home for presitege, Pakistan only needs to get what it wants hook or by crook.

Any person who tries to compare their achievements is a total fool in my view. Both have different goals vis-a-vis their R&D industries. Yet, here is the Fact.. the Tejas program along with the Arjun were supposed to be India's own showpieces which regardless of their final somewhat satisfactory output are complete jokes in terms of project management. Neither delivered when they were really required to which in one case put the lives of pilots at risk and continues to do so. It also had a detrimental effect on the operational performance of an important arm of the military.
So regardless of whether Pakistan buys/copies or fakes it.. India suffered. And if people are blind to that simple fact.. well all I can say is that..
