Aasiya welcomes declaration of 6 nation speakers’ conference
Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson Syeda Aasiya Andrabi today hailed the declaration signed by the top parliamentarians of six countries including those from Russia, China, Turkey, Afghanistan, Iran and host Pakistan which stated that the Kashmir issue needed a peaceful resolution as per the UN resolutions, terming it a huge success for the people of Kashmir.
“The declaration was made at the "Six Nation Speakers' Conference” held in the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad,” Aasiya, in a statement today, said.
"I want to tell my people that when worldly super powers have accepted that Kashmir solution lies in UNSC resolutions, now ground situation should be such that world powers are forced to implement these resolutions," she said, adding that "That people of J&K want to decide their future."
Andrabi, who was released after 9 months of detention, said “The people of Kashmir have given huge sacrifices. But it is quite unfortunate that we see our young girls and boys are being taken outside Jammu Kashmir on tours by Indian rmy."
She said. "Sadhbavna tours are being held and our youth are being involved in sports activities by army through different schemes. By such things, it seems our people have forgotten the sacrifices laid by our valiant youth. Our youth have been blinded... how can we forget that. It is imperative for us not to become part of such schemes of India."
The DeM slammed the appointment of Dineshwar Sharma, saying that “Pro-freedom people have no expectations from him or any such other futile exercises. It is only those who have materialistic interests that they meet Sharma but it is being highlighted in a way as if Kashmiri give any credence to him."
Paying heartfelt tributes to slain JeM commander, Noor Muhammad, Aasiya said, “He had understood the meaning of life. Despite being handicapped, Noor sahab played a vital role for the sacred cause.
"Noor sahab was detained during his youth in Tihar jail and then shifted to Central jail and from where he was released on parole but he spent that time too for freedom struggle," she said, adding that "It proves how committed he was. He could have used that parole time for his family and relatives instead he sacrificed it for cause."
