As for TFX, there has been no decision made (incl. the number of engines), the design has not started. As you can see, the program is still at the very basic stage.

1-) We observed that lately 2 engined version of the TF-X takes place in the pics, presentations, etc... Doesn't it makes sense that F-35s would assume the role of multi role while TF-X would assume the air-superiority role ?

2-) Do we any information about the supplier of the engines ? In the conference TF-X has been compared to F-22 while there is no chance that we can acquire anything like F-119 engine......

3-) I saw 300 R&D projects which will be commenced by 1000 R&D teams...i think, it roughly makes around 10000-20000 (maybe more) R&D personel... Do we have such qualified staff in those numbers ? I don't think so....

4-) From your video.

Well, there might have been only one Arda and that would be Cabatlı....now, we learned for sure that is not the case....And it's good to know that we have 2 experts on the subject whom keeps us updated.

Swept wings of an aircraft are there to 'provide' higher speeds via less drag, but i am not sure how critical sweep is for
super cruise.

I'm not exactly sure but you can spot the similarity of the "sweep back" wings on all of the 5th gen aircraft designs which are able to super-cruise....besides they all have powerful engines that we will not be able to acquire....so, how our TF-X will achieve super-cruise ??? I dunno.

Besides its conceptual design...

Maybe, it's not even the conceptual design but just a 3D model for the animation who knows ?

Well for an aircraft to super cruise, it needs to have a high T/W ratio, near one. So having two engines helps, but you also have to keep in mind the weight too. So the angle of sweep, does not directly effect it.

That being said, i could be wrong; still an undergraduate

Sanayi Bakanlığı Aralık 2015'te Rolls Royce ile imzaladığı işbirliği anlaşmasını realize etmek için harekete geçti. Aralıktan sonra bir süre ara verilen çalışmalar yeniden hız kazandı. TÜBİTAK'la ortaklaşa bir Gelişmiş Üretim ve Teknoloji Merkezi (Mükemmeliyet Merkezi) kurulması çalışmaları tamamlanarak, merkezin kurulum aşamasına geçilmesine karar verildi. 2023'te göklerde olacak milli savaş jeti projesinde yer almak isteyen ve anlaşılması halinde uçak motorunun tamamını Türkiye'de üretmek için talepte bulunan firma 8. teknoloji merkezini Türkiye'de açacak. Sanayi Bakanı Fikri Işık, "Rolls Royce ile işbirliğine başlıyoruz. Yakında imzaladığımız anlaşmayı realize edeceğiz" dedi.

ÜRETİMDE BÜYÜK HEDEF

British Space and Aviation giant Rolls Royce will open a facility in Turkey, it says. The company eyes to the Sinop Nuclear facility as well. They want to produce the diesel engines.

Minister Fikri Işık said "We will cooperate with Rolls Royce. Soon We will substantiate the agreement we signed"

The company aims to launch a Jet Factory by 2025 if it joins the Turkey's indigenious fighter jet project.

Milli Muharip Uçak Projesi kapsamında uçağın bileşenlerinin üretimine yönelik 300 proje yürütülmesi öngörülüyor.
Türk Hava Kuvvetleri'nin savaş uçağı ihtiyacının karşılamasına yönelik yürütülen proje kapsamında üretilecek savaş uçağının ilk uçuşunu 2023'te yapması ve 2030'lu yıllarda envantere alınması hedefleniyor.

Son teknolojiye sahip yeni nesil savaş uçağı özellikleri taşıyacak milli muharip uçak, uzun menzil, yüksek manevra, süpersonik ve süper seyir, milli mühimmat entegrasyonu, hassas angajman yeteneği, düşük görünürlük gibi kabiliyetlere sahip olacak.

Teknoloji geliştirme projeleri ve kurulacak altyapılar dikkate alındığında milli muharip uçak üretimi, Türkiye'yi askeri ve siyasi anlamda üst seviyelere taşıyacak bir teknoloji kazanım projesi olarak gösteriliyor. Projenin, bir savaş uçağı yapmanın yanı sıra altyapı ve ortaya çıkacak yeni firmalar ile büyük bir teknolojik kalkınmaya kapı aralayacağı ifade ediliyor.

"EN AZ 1000 PROJE TAKIMI KURULACAK"

Rüzgar tünellerinden gelişmiş aviyonik sistemlere, hedef tanıma sistemlerinden görüntü işleme teknolojilerine, malzeme teknolojilerinden yeni nesil silah sistemlerine kadar projenin çok geniş ilgi alanı ve hedefleri bulunuyor.

Uçağın bileşenlerine yönelik projelerin fon miktarları belirlendikten sonra, rekabet için bir proje en az 2 firmaya verilecek. Bu kapsamda en az 1000 proje takımı kurulacak. İlan edilecek projelere verilecek teklifler proje yönetimi tarafından kabul edildiğinde onay için TÜBİTAK/KOSGEB'e gönderilecek. Bunların onayından sonra fon serbest bırakılacak.
