TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

Temel Kotil (CEO of TAI) said first flight is 2026.

And what is the difference between 5th and 6th Gen.?

Do you seriously think we'r gonna make 5th gen fighter within 5 years? F-35 took 20 years of Lockheed Martin. If somethink will fly in 2023 it will be a flying fuselage nothing more.

How come such romantic dreamer members are allowed to ''discuss'' here...

Ask this to @UzaySan , looks like he can name some differences

please name few of 5th gen fighter's features

stealth,network based combat,supercruise without afterburner,aesa radar...

And when i say "uçacak olan uçak 5.nesil" i was repeating what minister said.Im not minister. But clearly you are not able to understand the difference.

Most of these are about marketing. If im not wrong, F-35 can not reach supersonic speeds without afterburner(lo-lo or mid-lo missions). F-22 and F-35 are quite different platforms in terms of mission profiles.

In addition, many innovations such as reduced radar signutures (such as RAM or design differences in vertical stabilizers), sensor fusion, active electronically scanned arrays, low observable advanced data-links, increased situational awareness, etc. have been adopted in 4th generation jets.

The most distinctive difference of the last generation is that all-aspect stealth design (frame design and composite tech) from engine to avionics... For tasks that require maximum stealth, the task load can be carried on the internal bays. It could also be the first generation to be coordinated strike missions with unmanned systems. (But first generation of swarms, such as Mald systems, continues with 4th generation jets)

Ofc, some innovations that will trigger the development of the 6th generation in the future. However, there will be fifth generation jets that will adapt to these technologies first. A few examples like morphing capabilities, full autonomous task capability, and directed energy weapons are within probabilities. In terms of design, the most obvious difference could be extreme stealth designs with completely new tail and engine power output designs that can provide high agility without vertical stabilizer.

TR has so many good and int. projects but it needs to speed them up, you have to bring all of them ASAP cuz the world arround you is very dangerous and your "allies" are very very unreliable and those few, incl my own home country, who really consider you as friends and brothers unfortunatelly can't really help you in case you need help! Go TR!

6th generation: Flying near space, hypersonic speeds, pilotless, swarm technology, more stealth, possibly more light weight, possibility of direct energy weapons. To name a few.
