Tesla drives past India, into China

The point here is that Tesla can start an assembly plant here .For manufacture of batteries, motors, control electronics etc they need to tie up with local producers whether in India or China.

So your claims like 'India doesn't have big enough infrastructure to manufacture advanced high-end products' doesn't hold water.

We already have the infrastructure to make and transport BEVs,to begin with.We already make.Though this industry wouldn't really take off, unless our government starts to subsidize electric vehicles

REVA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That said,China is several advantages when compared with India

Lesser bureaucratic hurdles and proper taxation
Cost of production in China is lower
Better transportation infrastructure, including a much less saturated railway system
My claim does hold water. Otherwise, your nominal GDP should be above $9 Trillion, but it is not. You are not even close.

That's creative. You think you get to decide when to get that status, LOL. And when you do, the international standards for that will somehow be ignored. The fact that you are no better than a 3rd world + dump in majority parts of your country, would magically disappear.
"the majority of our country parts are no better than a 3rd world+dump"???isn't it pathetically iroooonic that indians are scoffing on China for being "3rd world"?:laugh:what's your most "1rd world" city you so far have guts to show to us?mumbai only?
mumbai

LIsten!you stinking slumbum!all of our most ordinary cities can easily get mumbai head-shot in terms of modernity+prosperity!

This is Guiyang, the capital of yun'nan province which is one of the least developed provinces in China!but more than enough to knock out your beloved mumbai twice with one punch, huh?

Liuzhou,Guang'xi province(only as the second largest city of a Chinese southern province, but already an upgraded version of your mumbai!booooooom!:bunny:)

what shown above is merely the tip of iceberg,we've gotten hundreds of cities like these comprising China,,I ain't gonna waste my time in convincing a narrow-minded "idiant" on anything like that

Shouting their lungs out at not only departure gates, but also inside *A lounges at Suvarnabhumi, Narita etc., and screaming at each other like diseased baboons in public places like there's no one else around, is part of how they behave when they travel. They have zero respect for other people's personal space when they travel in packs like rabid dogs. Let's not forget how they spit everywhere and take a dump anywhere they feel like it. They are the worst type of human beings to travel with, have meetings with, and eat a meal with. 'Disgusting' is the word that comes to mind when one thinks of the chinese.

left hand or right hand for eating?

China is already the largest producer of batteries for EV vehicles.

Actually I don't think it is.
Let's look at the electronics industry for instance.
You can't go straight into production of semiconductors. You have to climb your way up the ladder. Starting from assembling, then some components, then to increasingly complex components.

It is an utterly unfortunate comment of yours.

I live in Mumbai, and I can safely say, that it is one of the most dirty major cities in the world.

As for the "rabid dog" comment. Have you ever travelled in Mumbai local? Even your balls don't have space in Mumbai locals. I have never been as close to a fellow human being, as I have been when I am in Mumbai local.

Till now, by my reckoning, you have already made the "one step above a 3rd world country" comment thrice.

Insecure much?

This is the fourth time.

fifth time.

Not around the world. Generally it is from East Asia, one thing that gives tremendous advantage to any manufacturer in East Asia, which is both the presence of supply chains and component makers, as well as the ability of these components to swiftly move around very easily due to advanced Infrastructure.

Reported.

sixth time.

Though I agree with you that Chinese here are absolutely ridiculously contemptuous in their treatment of Indian/Vietnamese/Philipinos
this indian finally added something positive to the bedraggled impression I hold on india

Well, boo hoo then

I wonder where in Bombay you live. Things are changing, and they are getting better. I'm sorry that you fail to see the reality right before you.

No, I haven't had the pleasure of traveling in a local train, but that's not the point. You clearly haven't seen the new rich chinese behaving awfully when they travel abroad, or even in their own country for that matter.

I live in Powai, near Hiranandani, which happens to be one of the most posh area of Mumbai. But it gets dirtier when you move out of that area.

How can you call yourself a "Bombaywalla" when you haven't even travelled in famed Mumbai Local?

Also, I have heard this from multiple independent sources of all kinds: That China is far cleaner in almost all terms compared to India.

Li-Br batteries are better bargain for off grid power storage, they are infinitely rechargeable without loss of capacity..

The talks with China were on even before Modi met Tesla leadership. Modi met him for pitching India as a destination for making cars. Such decisions dont happen overnight and India is not looking to produce luxury cars but basic versions that commoners can use. Until Tesla have such an offering, it is too early to say if Modi's pitch fizzled out or is actively being considered. Another area of interest to India is captive power plants and storage. Tesla has already opened up many patents that they have in this area for public consumption at zero cost. Let us see how things pan out.

Sour grapes...

Forget about the aerospace .
India does not even have a steady state grid for your lights,no mention the e-car.
I guess they don't have street lights in such small villages or townships, don't say 3/4G signal, clean tap water or sewage system.

why even have signal above 4000m?

Why more Americans than Chinese in the coach, Jin?
