Terrorist who played key role in Dhaka's Gulshan Cafe attack last year caught from Kolkata

Being friendly neighbours, India has extended all possible support to Bangladesh in the search operations.

One of the main suspects in Dhaka's Gulshan cafe terror attacks last year has been arrested from Kolkata.

Idris Ali, one of the main links in the terror attack in Dhaka, was arrested from Burrabazar area of the city by Kolkata Police's special task force which acted on a tip-off from Delhi's special cell.

Ali, who was operating with a fake identity in Kolkata, had sneaked into the Indian territory with the advantage of his language and cultural similarities in this region and Bangladesh.

Bangladesh security agencies had alerted Kolkata and West Bengal police about the possibility of his crossing the border and hiding in India.

Being friendly neighbours, India has extended all possible support to Bangladesh in the search operations.

On July 1, 2016, Gulshan attack had left the world in a state of shock with 22 deaths including 17 foreigners.

Till now 8 militants hailing from Jamaat Ul Mujahiddeen Bangladesh have been arrested in relation to the attack and three have been killed in the encounters too on suspected involvements.

His arrest comes as a big achievement for security agencies in India and is the first catch from the country in this particular case.

Dude Tata is just the most well known. But the total jobs were not that much by themselves (and the nano project itself has now turned into somewhat a damp squib).

I can give you stories about MSME flight from W.B.... that is the real important issue (quality jobs wise). She is trying to attract MNCs and big corporations to try fix that now....but its like going on a fat rich diet when you are starving (MSME are the real base of Indian manufacturing and light industry jobs). Sad and pathetic.

Anyway I can only hope rest of India pushes ahead and leaves W.B behind more so eventually people there will see they have been duped and taken for a ride....the trend is only starting now.

We are not that generous that we will feed these scumbag 10-15 years in jail than release them to become a headache again for the RAB.That's why their friends try to snatch them in the middle of night.

BD law enforcement agencies arent trustable, whom were found guilty of 7 murder like cases that too involved from top brass. Blindly believing them is major error of thoughts. This way major info can be buried and innocent people can be picked and eliminated in the name of cross fire. Why not hang the terrorists if found guilty. Police RAB known for their brutality in every other cases, why should we assume them as saints in this.
