Terror groups destroy Kashmir schools in Taliban-type offensive

SRINAGAR: Almost like Taliban's offensive against education in Pakistan and Afghanistan, terror groups in Kashmir are destroying schools and ensuring their continued shut down. Twenty schools have been wrecked in the last three months of unrest.

The schools in Valley have remained shut since the killing of Hizb commander Burhan wani in an encounter with security forces on July 8.

Officials said that around two million Kashmiri students have been prevented from going to schools across the Kashmir Valley. The students of border areas like Gurez, Tangdhar, Uri in Kashmir and Jammu and Ladakh regions have been attending their schools without disruption though. That is because the separatist influence is limited to the Valley.

According to official figures, seventeen government schools and three private schools have been fully damaged in fire. Some of the schools that were completely damaged include Middle School Kanjikelam in Yaripora zone of Kulgam district and Government High School Botengo Anantnag district and Government High School Parigam in Pulwama district.

Have you seen the shit they teach in IOK schools? Half of it is just so called "patriotism" - I've seen videos of kids in lines with a Nazi-like salute and constantly repeating "I love my country, India". Indians are no desperately trying to use schools as a political tool in order to brainwash Kashmiri youth. I have relatives in IOK and they go to much more expensive private schools because of this crap. So I'm not disappointed at all.

1) No such thing happened and is just a lie to save face as Kashmiries in whole world observed black day today against india's forceful occupation around 7 decades ago so out of sheer desperation head terrorist Modi and Doval must have come up with this idea to malign Kashmiries rightful to self determination.

2) Doval actually asked his assets aka Hindus army in plain clothes to carry out any such destruction so that they can label it on freedom fighters the same way these assets tried to fly ISIS flag in Kashmir and put it on Kashmiries but nobody bought it .

These attempts will die their own death and infact just reflects the shaking legs of Modi and Snaghis who are scared after watching Kashmiris resolve still so strong and united even after 110 days of curfew and 100+ martyrs .

People in places as far as Norway are now standing up for the rights of Kashmiris.

Its what these guys want , no progress, just people who are kept socially and economically backward , its how they control and influence people. Do you really think people will listen to them if they see their children prospering?

IMHO the separatist have no interest in the betterment of people. if they did they would have allowed schools to function, not be closed for close to four months, also not use children for theses mobs . Though i cant blame them entirely , the local govt is also at fault for not handling the situation better.

A primary school building was set ablaze by unknown persons in north Kashmir, police said on Thursday.

This was the 19th school building set on fire by unknown persons since the current unrest began in Kashmir following killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani on July 8.

A police official said Government Primary School at Taaper in Pattan area of Baramulla district was set on fire by unknown persons late last night, a police official said.

He said the three-room building was gutted in the fire.
