Also because there are frauds in alternative medicines does not mean there are infallible experts in allopathic stream. Seen enough of wrong diagnosis, wrong medications, allergic reactions, sudden deaths, huge prescribed medication addiction, frequent drug withdrawals, litigations, etc, etc., to know you guys are not gods you claim to be.

point is,,most of the jholachaps sell hope to the gullible,,nothing more...there may be the odd authentic practitioner,,,but that too helps only in few selected cases..

Do not know, never heard of it. But then I see every single day one or other publication coming up with antioxidant and cancer fighting property of one or other natural herbs. Curcumin being the latest buzz. There are many such.

Not one of the Ayurvedic medicine practitioner I know of ever says stop your allopathic medicines or disses on it the way you guys diss on anything which is not subscribed by your tribe.

Madani's trial should not be extended indefinitely: CM

Bangalore: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Monday said that the trial of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, who has been lodged in Bangalore jail in connection with the 2008 Bangalore blasts case, should not be extended indefinitely.

He also said that the state is ready to consider any medical assistance if Madani demands it. Presently, he is being provided with better medical facilities, the chief minister added.

Oommen Chandy on Monday met Madani, who is out of prison on bail for treatment of various ailments at a private hospital, here.

The CM met Madani at Soukhya hospital where the latter is undergoing medical treatment.

Oommen Chandy also held talks with Dr Isaac Mathai, Managing Director of Soukhya Hospital, regarding the present status of Madani's health.

Chandy took some time off his official engagements to meet Madani during the former's visit to the city.

Madani had been lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, Bangalore in connection with the blasts case.

Ayurveda is a science,,no doubt..but it is not yet matured(in comparison to modern medicine)
n i was not talking solely about ayurveda,,,,,i was talking about all those jholachaps out there.
let me tell u what these hope sellers do,,,one of my weirdest experience..
a lone old patient came to surgery emergency with severe pain abdomen,,no passage of stool or gas for 2 days,,,,,,,old babaji was deaf(later we came to know that he had typhoid,,took aminoglycosides),,was so weak that he cudnt talk,,,,
he was sent to em. OT for exploratory laparatomy with diagnosis of perforation peritonitis..
ex. lap. me pura pet khola jata hae,,,ekdum upar se niche tak,,,,guess what we found inside??
a white raddish,,,,yes a big white raddish,,,right there popping out of the ruptured sigmoid colon...
we assumed the babaji had some psychiatric disease,,,but later when his family came n we gingerly discussed the raddish,,his wife informed that old baba was taking treatment from the local vaidh for hemorrhoids....
may sound unreal but true story.

Muslims in Erumeli village in Kerala are outraged over a local high school run by Catholic management serving pork during Ramzan.

On Friday, a day after the school served pork curry, several Muslims stormed St Thomas Higher Secondary School in Kottayam district. The mob blocked the road for three hours, damaged school furniture and assaulted two teachers.
Tension mounted as people from other regions rushed to the school, but the mob dispersed after the education department suspended headmaster Thomas Varghese and teacher Rajeev Joseph, who served the dish. Joseph has also been taken into police custody. The local Jamaat Council has called for a protest meeting on July 30.

The pork curry was prepared for a party held in the school for about 60 staffers, most of whom are Catholic.
Around the same time, 91 students belonging to the National Cadet Corps (NCC) were training for a parade.

“Since food was left over after the teachers’ party, staff member Rajeev Joseph, in charge of the NCC, called the students to finish it. He announced there was pork curry on the menu and Muslims students should not consume it. For those who did not eat pork, there was fish curry and pickle,” he said.
The school NCC has 67 boys and 33 girls. Nine were absent on Thursday. Of the 100, 27 are Muslims. Of the 1,003 students in the school, 40 per cent are Muslims.

On Thursday night, a Muslim student reportedly told his parents pork was served in the school. The parents took up the matter with the local Jamaat Council the next day, following which protests broke out.

Council secretary P A Irshad said all Muslim outfits are united on the issue. “The school management should not have selected the month of Ramzan to serve pork. Our religious sentiments are hurt,” he said.

Deputy director of education (Kottayam district) Jessy Joseph said suspending the teacher and the headmaster was the only way to pacify the mob. “It would have been better for teachers to dispose the pork curry instead of giving it to students,” Jessy Joseph said.

The teacher already warned Muslim students about pork....Then why such a big issue..?

Looks like I am just too late.
I dont know the authanceity of these news.
But if it is true ,these Jamats is making one hell of the mistake.Secularism flourished in Kerala because non sense , emotionless approach of keralites .
But rising frequency of these type of news will only serve to Isolate the Muslims from rest of populations including Christians and Hindus.Once this menace started it will be twisted in to complete suspicion about Muslims among other communities.
That school is working under christian management .If they dont want it ,they should avoid it.Thats end there.
But making noises about these simplepetty issues doesnt serve any purpose for a long time.Now two teachers are suspended.
Issue may settled up there.But other christian brothers ,I dont think they take this as that silly.
They would keep it in there mind.Or I think some of them dont just forget it.
