I wish that settled by an medium asteroid strike in Antarctica preceded by a month long travel of the object to Earth creating suspense and fear among the religious irrationals.
Or perhaps arrival of alien craft in Earth orbit. Let the irrationals volunteer to meet and greet them taking along in their minds their religious fervor and try to convert the aliens.

Do you think this recent attempt to increase women's legal marriageable age to 21 years, could have triggered this issue. 21 years means women is graduate with a job, independent of parents economically. Increased insecurity in people with Patriarchal mindset, increased desire for self-segregation, to maintain identity.
BJP/RSS took advantage of it politically and made it a religious issue.

While BJP / RSS certainly took advantage of it there is also the fact of some Muslim "elders" also being against the raising of marriage age. There was one elderly mullah-type Samajwadi Party leader ( forgot his name ) who declared that there will be more "immorality" in society now because of the age raising. BTW, how can the Samajwadi Party ( literally "Socialist Party" ) have such regressive minded people ?
It is also to be noted that many of these Muslim girls who returned to school or college returned with burqa / "hijab". Some of them would have become brainwashed in the learn-from-home time but most will be just helpless against the regressive attitude of their parents and ghettoized community. And then it was the Muslims, led by the AIMIM, who started the "Pehle hijab, phir kitaab" campaign first from Beed town in Maharashtra. These AIMIM Muslim males claimed that they were protecting the females. Now Beed town and its area is known for illegal abortion of females and feeding the fetuses to dogs kept by those criminal doctors. Did the AIMIM and its "concerned" Muslim supporters ever speak about this issue ? Did they get such criminal doctors arrested ? Did they kill dozens of those dogs to make an example to India ? Did they think that the original Islam, the real Islam, actually liberated the females as against the oppressive thinking of the AIMIM ?
"Pehle hijab, phir kitaab"... It is ironical that those so-called Muslims who put up these banners didn't consider that it was their community's founder, Hazrat Muhammad, who said that knowledge is something that has to be gained even if one has to travel as far as China. It is unfortunate that most Indian Muslims of now are not rational and progressive.
