Save the AESA crap. Its only for MKII and if its going to be put there on time, it will have to be purchased off the shelf as India is no where close to develop an AESA radar for a jet fighter.
well buddy thing is ASEA is already in works for the last couple of years still even if it doesent comes on time no issues as israelis are pressing hard to sell there latest variant of 2052 and i dont think they will mind helping its integration into the LCA latform and IAF is already gunning for it so dont worry we are not goping to ask for monnitarry help or so called 'soft loans ' from you guys :coffee:

Very first post by someone which makes some sense ,
anywayz that is not what international air forces call being battle ready ... tactics and other things are different for different scenarios, so it need to be battle ready with the confidence so that all these next stage things are being sorted out ...

If IAF does not have confidence then its not going to see some future in IAF ... which is a big question to answer ...
this is what the RAAF thinks regarding foc and ioc
Initial Operational Capability (IOC)
IOC can be declared when one or more subsets of the capability can be deployed on operations. IOC considers the personnel, training, major systems, supplies, facilities and training areas, logistics, support, command and management required to deliver the subset of capability required.

Final Operational Capability (FOC)
Final Operational Capability is declared when the entire capability can be deployed on operations. FOC considers the personnel, training, major systems, supplies, facilities and training areas, logistics, support, command and management required to deliver the full capability required.

Capability - Royal Australian Air Force

LAC is gonna get its IOC after a week and when its production starts till the next 20 aircrafts all the supplies, logistics and doctrines for the bird are developed after which its will be given FOC which means its battle ready and the next 20 aircrafts will be delivered after FOC

lol,why are wasting your time?,people like her should be dealt with iron hand...

LCA Mk 2 would require major redesigning due to F414 engine being much bigger. JF-17 Block 1 wasn't produced in large numbers, only 50 total, because JF-17 Block 2 is the main production variant featuring a modified nose incorporating an AESA, IRST, wide angle holographic HUD etc.

That has already been taken into account.

The following will be the dimensions of Mk2:

Span : 8.20m

Its upgrades and features are as follows:

Upgrades

  1. Higher Thrust Engine
  2. Structural Weight Reduction
  3. Aerodynamic Improvements
  4. Upgrade of Flight Control Computer
  5. Electronic Warfare Suite
  6. Avionics Upgrade
  7. In flight refuelling retractable probe
  8. On board oxygen generation system
  9. Increased fuel capacity.
Features
  1. Supersonic at all altitudes
  2. 15km service altitude
  3. Tailless compound delta wing
  4. Composite structure
  5. Improved performance
  6. Improved maintainability
  7. Improved Survivability
  8. Digital Fly by wire
  9. Fuel dump system
  10. Multi mode AESA radar

As I said, would India buy Gripen C/D? Why not have a bidding contest between Grippen C/D with LCA? lol

LCA is the only choice because it was developed in India for over 30 years. And Indian AF need to show support to DRDO and HAL. So that is why Indian AF agree to take 24 for now. And the rest later if its really useful to Indian AF.

India buys Rafales and MKI. But it would not have considered buying LCA class of light planes if HAL did not manufacture them after decades of development.

Indians will care about themselves. We know what is our weak point and strong point.IAF selected thisbecause they attain a quality for IAF. Actual work is take place from 1991(design confirmed) and LCA gets serious funding after 1996 .So consider that it dont even take 20 years,HAL do a good jobwithinin limit of these sanctions and they take it as a challenge, not hack foriegn companies for technology like some others do ;).
It give us necessary base for our aerospace industry.Something that you cant get by hacking or reverse engineering others technology .We designed LCA ,now some foriegn parts is in LCA but within few years we will replace it with our own parts and engine.

lol getting personal wont solve anything about LCA being battle ready ... lol
come on LCA is in line from last 30 years and still you are saying it just came into this world ... do not call LCA some idiot thats funny .... being indian you should defend LCA not calling it idiot, understand your pains :rofl::rofl: :omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:
i would have been delighted if u had common sense
after induction in iaf there is foc
foc means final operational clearanece which is conducted by iaf

and by ioc 2 it means maximum of trials are conducted successfully
