everyone is commenting without knowing the ground realities .... its not the Iran who has suspended PTA but due to the new sets of sanctions imposed on them by UN & USA in 2010 literally make trade impossible for private business entities with Iran hack even governments are finding difficult to make payments to Iran ....

BTW their best friend India voted in favor of these sanctions in UN if I am not wrong .... plz correct me if I am wrong

What about Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline when Iran has already built its part of the pipeline 5 years ago ?

What a simplistic view of Iran - Pakistan pipeline why are you ignoring the fact that the said project was initiated as IPI IRAN-PAKISTAN-INDIA project; Iranians have not done any favor to us or should I say they have not laid that pipeline because of their love towards us, their main interest was Indian market , its because of this reason they started construction of their section of pipeline even before the conclusion of the agreement,

On the other hand India like always ditched them in favor of Nuclear deal with US, Its the Indian who withdraw from that project first not us, we keep pursing that project & we are still interested in that project (read link: Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline to be completed by 2017 - Newspaper - DAWN.COM) that is the reason we are negotiating 'Chinese investment for Gawadar to Nawabshah pipeline project' which is in fact the same route purposed for Iran Pakistan pipeline.

Secondly I am quite sure you are not aware that Pakistan is not interested only to have a single pipeline project with Iran but three or more

Iran offered $500 million loan to help build Pakistan part of the pipeline

Iranian withdraw G2G agreement unilaterally (read link: Iran ends cooperation agreement with Pakistan)

but Pakistan refused due to Saudi pressure.

Show a single piece of evidence that Pakistan refused that project under any pressure even from the mighty USA.

India and China continue to buy Iranian oil and gas

Because of Exemptions extended to them but with the condition of reduce purchases

As far as India is concern look at their strategic alliance with Iran

but Pakistan are scared of sanctions !!!!

Pakistan has also shot itself by not building gas pipeline which would have helped stop gas shortages in Pakistan.

Iran is very reluctant and has been holding india for last 3 ,4 years from building chahbahar. u have any clue why?
Indian stakes are high due to zilam delaranj highway. Btw hilarious the highway goes through nimruz in afghanistan,taliban occupied province. India will have interesting time transporting goods.
Btw for some if india is such an iran's friend then y india had refused ipi gasline just cuz it saw pakistan will be making closer to 600 700 million dollar yearly on transit fee. IPI always had foreign powers blocking it. But jo bhi ho ab IP, IP hee rahay gee IPI nahi banay gee. India can lick its nuclear deal signed in 2009 that it had used as excuse to witdraw from this project. Boo jaoo nahi dain gay!!!

A lot of thing which even you have mentioned here as a question are true. Pakistanis are more inclined towards arab world(gulf) than the Iranian block. And that is not due to any sunni shia conflict but because, arab world, specially the GULF is close to US and this relation has been there past 4-5 decades. A lot of funds has been generated for Pakistan from arab world and a lot of military support has been provided by Pakistan to these countries. This is the outcome of Cold War.

@ArsalanKhan21 is correct in his many assumptions but I will say Pakistan is still following the residue of cold war between US-USSR and Pakistani think tanks have failed to analyse that.

I do not know about Zarvan or his friends but my analysis is solely based on my knowledge of history and Iranian ambitions in the region, not from today but from the times of Reza Shah. You just let the sanctions lifted from Iran and her economy stabilize a bit and then see how she will behave. Iranians are the French of the Asia, extremely nationalistic and proud. Try to grab a translation of Firdousi's Shahnama to try to understand the Persian mindset.
