Bangladesh PM inaugurates Pak made Air Defence System
Associated Press of Pakistan, 2005

ISLAMABAD Mar 17 : Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Begum Khalida Zia inaugurated the Air Defense Control & Command System prepared by Air Weapon Complex (AWC), Pakistan in Dhaka on Thursday.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by AWC team led by Director General, AWC, Air vice Marshal, Raja Tariq Mehmood.

Bangladesh floated a tender for Air Defense Automation System with integrate War gaming for Bangladesh Air Force, AWC’s technical and financial proposal was deemed as the most attractive and a contract was signed between AWC and Bangladesh government in June, 2003.

AWC a constituent organization of National Engineering & Scientific Commission (NESCOM) also conducted comprehensive and detailed operational maintenance training of Bangladesh Air Force personnel in Pakistan. Additionally an ongoing training program has also been conducted in Bangladesh.

As a fresh milestone in its journey of glory AWC has succeeded in indigenous development of command and Control system. Given the local development of the system, AWC does not depend on any foreign company agency for supply or support, hence ensuring an uninterruptible supply, support and maintenance of the system.

The salient feature of this system is its reliability under all weather/geographical conditions. It provides the commander easier to make necessary adjustments in operation plan. The system’s competence, reliability, mobility and all we weather friendliness proven during its trials deeply impressed our brotherly country Bangladesh and AWC’s aggressive marketing persuaded Bangladesh to purchase the system for its Air Force.

Air Weapons Complex (AWC), is an enterprising young organization with its roots going back to 1992. Although, still a nascent organization, it has established itself as a leader in the field of support systems and air defense for the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

Good media article. Anything else?

Want to tell me what basic structured radar network BD has to begin with? Why any elements of such have not come from Pakistan since when that would make the most sense from this article (given you have not even gotten such from China)?

Everyone essentially knows that it would be exposed to India as easy as pie (even if you were officially against it)....thus at most you can hope to get it from Russia who doesn't give a damn about that (but you simply do not have the funds neither the Indian OK to get that)....and you certainly have no capability or know-how to develop your own.

After all you are only now launching your first satellite (and its fully comms-based not military role) with Thales for a hefty sum. Don't make me laugh please....the subforum is enough of a joke as it is.

When you are the one running around crying that there are dozens of RAW run cafes in downtown Dhaka (that you even pasted images of)....you expect an insulated sovereign C4I in BD military. LOL. You are good entertainment for sure.

BD/India "cooperation" already does that. There is nothing even semi-important that they own that has not been thoroughly been given inspection/vetting/permission (officially or unofficially) by India (permanent presence on any major asset is managed by pro-Indian elements in BD military).

Defense treaty signing would concern only future acquisitions and financing to some limited level (and SHW will have to decide how much she can balance regarding that image wise).

Don't let the frustration venting of BD members in this forum fool you regarding the well established reality for decades now....just need to look at the token acquisitions from Russia/China by BD and question why no dedicated C4I as well (which is the most important thing to stake military sovereignty). 99% of BD defence posters here dont even know what C4I is....hence the quality of this forum and its discussions even in the actual defence threads.
@Doyalbaba @riasat @Russel @BDforever @asad71 your thoughts.

Modi will twist SHW's tail for a defense pact. She will be warned, if she doesn't agree, Modi will simply raise the height of the flame. SHW agrees or Duval's dogs make BD into another Balochistan.
I don't think starting an insurgency is that much easy in Bangladesh,citing the fact that it's a single ethnicity state,with single sect majority religion and people's aren't armed as we have in Balochistan.

Its been said/talked of for so long now. You dont just "acquire" C4I one fine day. It is built and developed over decades.

The fact you are only talking about starting to introduce it now speaks volumes. Lets revisit it in 10 years and see if anything substantial has been established (because thats actually a worthwhile time frame for a mature C4I)....or it will be the same old bits and pieces token acquisition for the sake of ticking the checkbox on paper (but meaning little in actual conflict or deterrence).

Scuse me if I don't hold BD defence "experts" here in high regard. You were the one that posted in that thread about the one "game changing" radar BD was acquiring from finmeccanica....and fled away when I pointed out the issues regarding radar horizon and lack of network/C4I algorithms within BD.

Remember that thread? let me post it for everyone to see:

That whole thread is such lol if you have time to go through it.

So anyway...one off acquisitions do not mean much to me. BD military even in its rosiest projections is far far behind overall in the basics....just like your non-RMG "industry".

Nor will containing such an insurgency be viable or easy. However, it is not insurgency but destabilization, social unrest and economic disturbances that Modi can trigger almost at a moment, our balls being firmly in his grip.

so much burning ..... :flame::flame::flame::haha::haha::haha:

But they have Government balls in there hands not common man's.Utmost they outset AL Government.

In this situation balls of SHW and GOB are the balls that matter. Till there is the inevitable popular uprising against usurpers of stat power and their masters.

If India Wants to destroy BD popular uprising will be there favorite.

Yah its the only response you have left when you have no facts on your side. Little man didn't even know what a radar horizon is....and he blah blah blahed about a single radar and got kicked so hard (and fled)....and says others are burning lol....and on top of that expects them to believe that he knows something about C4I. :rofl:

Don't know what the bigger joke is....BD military or its lunatic desperados here :lol:
