Arunachal CM's copter was only a few months old.

I know it was a Pawanhans, I m not trying to compare IAF with Pawanhans but the link is the involvement of VVIP's one of which narrowly escaped other could not...

i have told you delay is the main concern not the snags or anything else. IAF should have replaced some of their old choppers by now. IAF maintenance and training is one of the best in the world. they have high quality management but they can not do anything if MOD delays.

not only delays there is serious problems regarding the quality of spares used due corruption in MOD Indian Armed Forces..........especially for the russian machinary.

Yes well these are actual converted M-8s which are VERY old. In 2012-3 they are to be replaced by ultra-modern AW101 with 3 engines for extra safety. Indian armed forces are in a state of transition from vintage tech to state-of the-art tech. In 10-15 years no one will question their superiority!
