Great news ... but i was wondering why this glass thing along the wheels ? Is it just for the show-piece or will be for real ... if real then whats its advantage ?

Applique armour probably,side skirts would increase protection against RPGs.Though not strong enough to stop heavy ATGMs.

Pretty much a tech demo, but tech developed for it will be used on tracked-FICV surely.

VRDE-DRDO was TATAs partner for the wheeled Kestral, maybe tracked too.
