What's new

Tata is owner of Tata-Daewoo Pakistan

if we wanted to destabilize neighboring countries why would we make investments there in first place???

There r always multiple reasons for every act. Dont forget this Co. Approx covers most of Pak and trade Routes.

Bakwas.............For security u would have ran first.

Pakistan in her history never remained India. Yr state propaganda dont work on people with knowledge.

Indians would have invested keeping long term horizon in perspective. Hence would have retained a presence in Pakistan in spite of the security situation that is prevalent now.

What do u mean?

You are tired or not doesn't matter. History cannot be changed.

I agree history cant be changed and it doesnt matter if u agree or not but reality is that, we were nvr part of yr country. But it seems ur kind only think that Pakistan only comprise of Punjab and Sindh.:omghaha:

Kalu Miah just woke up from his slumber, this has been discussed many times before on this forum. You are not telling us anything new.

Pakistan will not be in the same situation in future as it is in the present. It would cost Indian companies more to divest their investment rather than retain some foothold. The moment Pakistan opens its door for Indian investments, Pakistan would be hotly contested destination among Indian companies. There is nothing philanthropic here. Indians understands Pakistan demographics better than any country on the earth hence a ready made market, and second majority of Pakistan resides just on the other side of border, hence no logistics nightmares or supply chain costs.

Daewoo trucks and buses are not the best quality among other Korean products as far as I know. Hyundai and Kia trucks and buses are more popular in Korea. At least Hyundai-Kia are not owned by Indian company, although they have huge plant in India, manufacturing and exporting cars. So profits made by Hyundai-Kia will at least not go to Indian hand, ever. South Korea will never sell their crown jewel industry Hyundai-Kia to Indian company. So going with Hyundai-Kia is a safer bet for Pakistan and the export market in Middle-east and Central Asia. And finally when Chinese products match quality with Korean products, then it will be time to dump them all and go for Chinese products.

This is no investment, it is a stupid policy of Nawaz Sharif which grant special facilitation to Indians only to run a taxi, Rickshaw and bus services in Pakistan.

All buses are imported duty free nothing is invested in Pakistan.

Daewoo is not the only company where Indians control a stake in Pakistan but that is what is known as globalization in business.
That is the idea behind the whole peace and aman parade so that people can conduct business and provide jobs for those in need of it.
By that logic, the US which sold Pakistan 500 AMRAAM missiles and sophisticated jets is also proposing a century partnership, Hamdard Laboratories is split between India and Pakistan.

Joint Indian-Pakistani ventures arent a new thing nor are Indian investors in Pakistan. A Businessman will go where there is money to be made. The Israeli's were paid millions by Pakistan in the 90's for parts and electronic equipment.

Kalu is one of the weirdest guys I have ever seen. He has this uncanny habit of forming an opinion and then going all out to prove his point. His world is only black and white, there is no scope for any gray. A few months ago he suddenly realized that Bangladesh should form a strategic alliance with the sunni Arabs and now he is sucking up to them like there is no tomorrow. Iranians and Shias are the evil now. Indians and mainly Hindus got that status a couple of years ago I think. So anything Indian is just "axis of evil".

If Pakistan was never a part of India, then what was 1947 partition? And where did you got the information that Baluchistan and KPK were not part of undivided India. Is this what is taught in history books in Pakistan.

Pakistan was made part of india & that also for a short while. Seems like history, in india, starts from Mughal era only. Balochistan & KPK are/were alien to South Asia.

P.S Lets not start on "who knows history better" in every thread. Lets follow the Forum rules.

Also an JLR sales revenue in Pakistan is flowing to India.
