TATA Aerostructures Limited, the Indian Lockheed or Boeing in making.

Yesterday, I watched an excellent program on CNBC on TATA aerostructures limited. It was an elaborated excellent programme. A chinese lady Anchor was giving the commentary. There was an interview of the CEO of the company. Highlight of the program was like this.

1) Till Date, About 140 aero structures of Planes and Choppers are supplied to various country and companies.
2) They have a tie up with Lockheed martin.
3) Company has won a R & D contract from DRDO for 3 missile guidance system in a competitive bid from Public sectors. One missile among the 3 is indo Israeli MR SAM. Other 2 are secrete.
4) Company has an order of 56 Dronier Aircraft from cost guard. Order may further increase.
5) Company has a capability to reverse engineer any aero structure.
6) Company manufactures Wings and other parts of bit passanger planes of Boing and Airbus.
7) Net year, a fully manufactured palne shall take off from company's runway.
8) There are some new facilities of Plane manufacturing is coming up.
9) Shortly, Company shall have a capability to manufacture 100 aero structure.
10) Soon company shall have the capability to make small and medium category planes in flyaway condition.
11) Chetak and chittah parts are produced here.
12) Company has an order book of 1BN USD.
13) JV with Sikorsky Aircraft Corp of US for their S 92 type chopper.
14) JV For pilatus for aircraft structure.

With so much cooperation all along the world and technology transfer and robust R & D coupled with excellent training and high skill Indian Manpower with very competitive cot structure, Tata aerstructure is going to rock and there is no doubt about it.

now sorri to burst your bubbleTATA Aerostructures LTD limited is noteven at 1/1000 th level as lokheed-boieng or even at level of HAL dont get exited just yet its gonna take a long long time for them

I wrote in making and not Lockheed martin of India. you failed to comprehend my post.

That is alright but what Aviation/Defence industry lack is that their reluctance to reverse engineer Military Hardware.

Take J 11 for example
