Late last month, a US drone strike intending to target Daesh-K* militants responsible for the 26 August attack on the Kabul airport ended up killing ten civilians, including seven children and an aid worker, instead. Washington has reserved itself the right to continue drone strikes throughout the country against suspected terrorists.
The Taliban Movement* has warned that the United States will face "consequences" if its drones continue to operate illegally over Afghanistan's airspace.
In a statement Tuesday, the group pointed to its responsibility for the country's territory, including its airspace, and recalled Washington's obligations under the February 2020 Doha peace agreement.
"The United States has recently violated all international law and its commitments to the Islamic Emirate in Doha, Qatar, and Afghanistan's sacred airspace is being occupied by US drones. These violations must be corrected and prevented," the Taliban stressed.

"We will call on all countries, especially the United States, to abide by their international commitments and laws in order to prevent any negative consequences," the Taliban said.
The group did not elaborate on what these "consequences" might be.

After taking over Afghanistan last month, the Taliban captured an arsenal of mostly US-made weapons worth tens of billions of dollars, including small arms and light weapons, grenade launchers, mine-resistant vehicles, thousands of Humvees, mobile and towed artillery and howitzers, bulldozers, excavators and even a small number of aircraft, most of them partially disassembled helicopters, but also drones, scout attack choppers and UH-60 Black Hawks.
Countries in the region have expressed concerns over the fate of this arsenal, with Moscow expressing hope last month that the arms would not be used in a potential civil war. Others have warned that part of the haul may end up on the international arms market, or in the hands of terrorist groups such as Daesh* and al-Qaeda.* The United States gifted Afghan security forces some $28 billion in weapons between 2002 and 2017, with virtually all of this equipment, apart from that which has been destroyed, falling into the Taliban's hands.

Not many - maybe buy a few 2nd hand J-7s from Pakistan with short range A2A missiles to shoot down the drones. The current CAS aircraft wouldn't be able to do the job.

.
What Taliban can do about drones?
They got no air defence and no brains to be able to build one.

They could also buy manpads from Pak.

If the drones are used to target AQ, ISIS-K, and even the TTP, what objections should the Taliban have? They should provide intelligence for such attacks. It will also help build relations with the US.

Yeah right,
Which will then be sold to TTP for shooting down Pakistani planes.
Can't trust an emotionally imstable hormonal regime.

Why would the US target TTP which is an ally against Pakistan? Isn't it true that the TTP has been living and enjoying sanctuaries for the past years in Afghanistan during US/NATO presence? The Americans occasionally killed a TTP leader which got out of line, but essentially TTP is a valuable anti-Pakistan asset for the US and India.

Unless they have sleeper agents from the recent refugee influx, the Taliban cannot reach US mainland. This warning most likely means that Taliban will retaliate against any neighboring country that would allow their airspace for US drones.

Retards can raise their hand who think Pakistan will lease J-7 to Taliban to use against US Drones. Bish we never even had balls to shoot down drones at our own territory 😆😂

Not agreed with the second part in the second line. Now it is history that UK/USSR/USA+NATO all faced humiliation/defeat at the hands of Afghans/Taliban. Strange, all defeated superpowers have one thing in common and that is 'U'.
