Seems the initiative of Imran khan is working.
Because General Bajwa and Us has these talks several times. Even taliban afghan government also sat down. But things have gone no where.
Only difference between the talks that happened before and now is pm Imran khan, every other character is same trump, ashraf ghani, general Bajwa, other actors..
The meeting of taliban and haqqani with Saudi Arabia and dubai has been good.
Only that's why they are pulling half the troops..
Even now taliban agreed to talk to ashraf ghani government for the setup of caretaker government.
The only problem remains is the presence of individual actors that can subotage this.
Well peace could be achieved, it is nothing less then a miracle.
The US has lower their tone.
The afghans have lower their tone..
The taliban have seen pm Imran continuous support for peace and are more willing to talk to him as he has been telling the west since last decade that you cannot kill the taliban, the only solution is talks .
If he can achieve this miracle, it would be his biggest contribution to the world .

Well, it may give a good feeling to some that the Taliban expect parity and equality, but then one must have the resources to back up such expectations. International geopolitics works according to its own rules, and the outcome here will be according to them as well.

and u do realize that these r the same taliban who have drilled hole into the international politics and that UN general assembly resolution post 2001 giving green light to America and 48 countries in her alliance including 28 member NATO to attack Afghanistan and kill them, we very throne heirs of Afghanistan ie Taliban!

Now that they have finally won! What makes u think even in the slightest of the way that AMERICA! infact can expect parity and equality with them? or even ask for any conditional withdrawal?

America is begging Pakistan and Afghanistan for even peace talks! here what to speak of equality, parity or even on top of them conditions?

Let us wait to see how the negotiations conclude before jumping to any conclusions or claiming victory for any side, that is all I will say for now.

have u met Taliban leadership ever? or had interaction with them? i guess u never had....now im sharing the Taliban delegation video where they r interacting with Russian and Afghani media personnel....notice their unsinkable attitude and assertiveness.....good luck in breaking that forcefield!

American establishment clearly is no mood for peace when they selected this character to represent them in peace talks. They want to keep their bases to support the Blackwater on ground in their operations against Pakistan (aka terrorism).
