Here is an article for all those gloom and doom advocates :). The Afghan government welcomes all those Talis who wants to negotiate and live in peace with their countrymen but those advocting war will face war.

All of Afghanistan’s 34 provincial capitals remain in government hands, as does the vast majority of district headquarters. Overall levels of violence, according to Afghan and U.S. military officials, are comparable to last year’s.

This ability to maintain the precarious status quo even after more than 120,000 U.S.-led coalition troops have departed the country represents, by itself, an important achievement.

Best of luck to Afghans in their war against terrorism. I wish to visit someday a peaceful prosperous Afghanistan.

I see the glass half full my friend :) these barbarians wont decide my childrens future, and let me remind some of the Pakistan friends here, no matter what you hear on the news, things are different on the ground. The ANSF has the support of the people, with time they are improving and this was going to be the year that would test the mettle of the ANSF and they have proved their worth ;)

If this the best the Talis can throw at the ANSF, as Tali strategist I would be very worried.

Bottom line :- With all its flaws the ANSF as a force and as an instituation is well respected by the common man on the streets of Afghanistan, as opposed Talis which are considered as angles of death and this is a strategic advantage that no other Afghan national defence ever had.

For a better tomorrow, cheers ;)

As an afghan, what would you like to see? a complete annihilation of the Taliban or have talks/peace and rule afghan together by holding elections etc.

Good question and the simple answer is that Talis should negotiate with the Afghan government, come to Afghanistan and live in peace, if they want to rule Afghanistan, let them do it through ballot box, if Mullah Omar would win the Afghan presidency through elections then let him be and I will be the first to respect him as the president of Afghanistan but if they continue killing Afghan children, blowing up schools and then try to rule Afghanistan through guns then they will face the full force of ANSF.

Good enough ?

All the best to ANA.

Death to the Talibastards and ISIS!

sounds reasonable. So what do you think is stopping the Taliban from the negotiating table. There has to be something the Afghan government is doing wrong. Could it be their desire for revenge since now they are the ones in power and want to keep it that way? Do the Pashtuns have majority in the governement, police or army?

Agreed thats absolutely correct only ppl's power, by the way it should be "govern" , "rule" is for autocracies.

One should ask this from them, our doors are wide open and we will accept them with open arms.

There is no question of Pashtoon, Tajik, Hazara, we are all Afghans. :)

How would you feel if I try to divide you into Pashoons, Punjabis, Sindihs ? I bet you wont like it, you are Pakistani :)

. . .
Good question! something along the lines of Pakistan wanting back Kashmir :)
Kashmir is Internationally Accepted Disputed Territory while Durand Line has never been considered that Internationally. One thing is for certain about Taliban is that they have shown a great deal of Resistance in Afghanistan since last decade or so and this is something that need to be consider as well that how are they able to keep on fighting back despite of being hit by International Forces with massive strikes. Afghanistan need to reconsider and try to bring them back to the negotiation otherwise things would keep going like this could lead to Hopelessness in Afghanistan.
