ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa on Monday said that due to Operation Zarb-i-Azb , the Taliban capacity to carry out terrorist attacks have been neutralised.

During an interview with the BBC, the DG ISPR said, “because the terrorists have been scattered they are only able to carry out random attacks”.

He said that the second-level leadership of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban have been either killed or arrested during the operation.

When asked a question regarding the political situation in Pakistan, Bajwa said that the Army was not involved in politics nor was it supporting a particular faction during the current crisis.

“We have held the view from the start that this was a political problem and that it should be resolved through the political process,” said the DG ISPR.

“The Army cannot support a particular faction because the institution represents the entire country…The Army has not supported any faction in the past nor will it do so in future,” Bajwa said.

So We have broken backbone of two Taliban groups.Thats Good News. :fans:

Now is the time to eliminate rest of the threat in Balochistan province, finish them once & for all.

Those who continue to target innocent lives and wreak havoc through their terrorist activities need to be handled with an iron fist. Thousands of lives have been claimed by the terrorist organizations like the TTP in Pakistan alone. It is only safe to say that the terrorist organizations like the TTP have left no stone unturned in their bid to destabilize the region. They have also made their terrorist agenda clear on numerous occasions, and it is no secret that they wish to over throw the government and impose their terrorist ideology upon the people. We fully support the government of Pakistan in its efforts to counter terrorism. The recent meeting between the ISAF Commander, General John Campbell and COAS General Raheel Sharif proves that our officials from the highest level continue to meet to address our shared concerns in the region. We have always emphasized Pakistan’s importance in the region, and it is our wish to see a safe and secure Pakistan.
