This is an air show and not some military base for not allowing media close to fighter jet that too escorted by host country senior officer.Since it is a joint stand, PAF official also have equal right for media access to jet or not. This itself prove that jf 17 program is developed, owned and dictated by whom.

It's a joint stand for a joint product and the Chinese would also oblige if they bring in someone whom Pakistanis refuse to give access to, even if accompanied by senior AVIC official.

“我们有我们的销售策略” ...well that‘s polite

I think what he really meant to say is “Potential buyers ONLY,so don’t waste your time”

Do you really think that PAF senior officers have spine to tell NO to chinese official, if they bring someone to have a look !

Oh it's polite alright. But that's not the reason why Indians are jumping up and down. They want to conclude it's a Chinese only program and Pakistan has no say in it, although it's cleared that it's a joint product and joint stand, so if Chinese don't want to give access to someone or vice versa then it won't happen. But they are really hurt by the export order, therefore, in a denial mode.

It's not a WWE wrestling match. It's a "joint stand" I am sure it's not hard to comprehend. Why would one alienate ones close associate by disregarding their sensitivities for some reporter?

But I know you'll keep harping the same thing because you are in denial stage because of the JF-17 export success. :-)

Taiwan is very vocally anti Chinese, and I do not know what got into our army men to allow media from their country to view the plane. They will never purchase it, nor will they have anything good to say about it.

We once had a senior vendor representative from a Taiwanese company come to Islamabad , he was a jovial kind of fellow and we took him to various places for exploring potential business opportunities , obviously in many places we also have Chinese visitors exploring business opertunities. In one place we passed by visitors who appeared Chinese origin and the taiwanese guy remarked to me 'I see you have Chinese visitors also' , I asked him how can he tell if the we passed by is Chinese or Taiwanese , as I can't tell. He said well you see me I can smile , that's how I can tell a Chinese from a Taiwanese and so can you.

Any how, we in Pakistan have no issue with China or Taiwan but there is of course Taiwan politics at play and China is secretive and suspicious. The above video is an example where being overly secretive and suspicious leads to improper handling of the situation.

It also shows who actually owns, controls and runs the program. Pakistan's role must be just the butter

Unfortunate.. nothing wrong with a harmless look :pop:

He should have been allowed to have a look.
story out of a nonevent
some miss coordination between the Pakistani and Chinese team here for sure.
in case of any political sensitivities this should have been discussed earlier.
I feel bad for the guy and I agree he should have been allowed to have some look but if he was seen taking some notes or video of cockpit instruments which might be meant for customers's only then it is understandable that he was stopped but that should be made clear in advance that dont poke your head here etc.

Yes, if one partner does not want it then it wont happen.

Aviation Expo / China 2015

Bilal, it takes 2 Pakistani rupees to print a brochure. Ofcourse Pakistan provided significant moral, spiritual and emotional guidance which matter most in such harmonious all-weather design with all weather friends

This itself prove that who owned the jet and show, 'joint stand' is just for the name sake
