Featured Taiwan loses two F-5E fighter jets in apparent collision

PRC insistance to make Taiwan unify with PRC and the 9 dash line makes China look bad.

. .
Your stupidity makes you look bad and yet here you are. Life isn't perfect is it?

Not our fault they fly 50-year-old jets that are way past their serviceable lifespan.

PRC should seek tension reduction by recognizing Taiwan as an independent country and by dropping the 9 dash line. With reduced tensions, then the question for the need for US forces here in the Pacific would rise by host nations and by young US soldiers themselves. Anti-base sentiment in Okinawa is not as high as it used to be. The difference between China favorability and US favorability in ROK has widened. There is very little anti-America sentiment in ASEAN because they seek the US to help balance China. If tensions can be reduced, then the need to balance from ASEAN wouldn't exist.

You can cure your stupidity by jumping off the rooftop of a ball building. If you didn't exist anymore, I wouldn't have to make fun of you further. Everybody would be happy.

Similarly, US and Japan can tug their tail between their legs and quit interfering with Chinese civil war and sovereign waters. No foreign interference, no tension.

Same logic really, asking for the impossible. Since we're not gonna convince each other, looks like there will be a showdown.

It's not about "Chinese Civil War". The end of any claim on Mainland China territory would put a final end to it. But China threatens Taiwan if they declare an end to the claim on the whole of China because that is what "Taiwan declaring independence" would mean Taiwan saying that they are no longer any form of China. If the PRC's real concern was ending the Chinese Civil War, then that should suit them fine. But its not. The PRC wants the Taiwan island. Furthermore, the 9 dash line has no bearing whatsoever on either fake or real excuse for "ending Chinese Civil War".

Separatists can swim across the Pacific and carve a piece of the US or Japan to be their homeland. They're not taking a Chinese province with them. The Chinese civil war will end when the land is unified under a single government. If US and Japan wants to interfere, maybe it's time to re-arrange the political order in Asia.

Can I remain hoping?

Never know if my wishful thinking and yearning might actually come about!
No harm in letting Japanese viewers here know of that too.
And if they want to see their Emperor becoming the custodian of a public toilet.

Territorially speaking, China got off quite well from the fires of WW2 that liquidated old boundaries and cemented new ones as the smelt cooled and hardened. Revisiting the nature of liquidating the foundation of territorial borders brings risks to China, not gains. China should be content with what they currently have...

Heh you have no say in what our territorial waters and lands should be. You don't have to recognize it, just as we don't need you permission.

Openly stated before confirmation from mod was necessary.

A non-Japanese speaking in favor of Japan in some way has more meaning then if only Japanese.

Ah yes, the classic "you have no say" that brings no substance.

The region does not welcome the PRC using force on Taiwan. Taiwan doesn't want to be part of PRC.

PRC's threat of force is the cause of tension in the region.

So too is the 9 dash line. Too much strategic posture is lost if the PRC gets the 9 dash line and Taiwan. China is already the biggest by far in the region so China should respect security concern of neighboring countries if China wanted to reduce tensions.
