Well, it makes sense since Taiwan has such a negative balance of trade in regards to Japan. They are trying to assuage Japan to reduce the tariffs. And in regards to agricultural products; naturally Japan doesn't buy that much in Taiwan. Japan is purchases, majority, of her agri goods from:

1. China (Mainland)
2. ASEAN
3. India
4. Pakistan
5. Sri Lanka
6. Australia / NZ

Product in ASEAN / China is cheaper, wider variety, better quality. Of course will will prefer theirs. Simple market economics.

I guess you should start providing reference citations. You don't know @Yorozuya like I do, he is a persistent debater, and will cross check your reference to the nail. You either provide him a reference to support your claim, or he will repudiate your hypothesis.

And lastly, a hypothesis must undergo experimental design and methodology. So if it is not supported, it is trashed, or modified.

Take that as a constructive criticism from me.

There 8 million Taiwanese live in the Mainland China, but only 300 thousands Mainland Chinese live in Taiwan, who needs who more?
