What's new

Tableghi boys still want to take Gas cylinders after Tezgam incident.

I too don't agree with modus operandi of Tableeghi-Jamat, in fact, I have avoided them my entire life but there is no need to get blinded by your hate for a particular school of thought. They are also citizens of this country.
The solution that I mentioned in the previous post would be acceptable to most because;

1- Cargo is not always secure in Trains. Authorities will not bother for something as meagre as lost gas cylinder so people like to keep it with them.
2- It is not like LPG refill is available everywhere like petrol stations so you have to fill it out beforehand.
3- Separating the regulator and burner will make the cylinder useless unless it is leaking gas and someone deliberately put a match to it.
4- Contrary to the popular belief Tableegh is not a paid vacation. You have to take care of all your needs yourself.

What happened during the train incident is very unfortunate and may the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace but putting a ban on everything is not a solution to these problems.

I agree with cargo part. but is it possible to empty all lng cylinders in time with Safe and economical way. LNG is far more dangerous then CNG because its heavier then air.
Even if the cylinder is not fully emptied, the risk of fire will be very less without a flame. I am sure that no one will go into cargo compartment to bring out the cylinder and gas stove...

You wouldn't be saying this if your relative was among the deceased.

Make it secure then.

By the way, it is extremely easy to get a gas cylinder on rent after paying a deposit in almost every city. So the issue here is that they don't take the cylinders for using it at their destination only.. They just want to save few hundred rupees on the way.

When I traveled last time with my friends 20 years back, we all brought something from our homes to eat on the way (because there was a concern of hygiene). No one eats too much on the train, it was light food, included shami kabab sandwiches, Biryani and a big thermos of tea.. We didn't buy anything from the stations between Karachi and Lahore except water.

Simple solution : organizers of that event should temporarily provide facilities on that event premises itself

. . . .
Hang them from b@lls....They are doing tableegh to Muslims instead of Kufaars.
Once tableeghi went to Abotabad and ask one of my friends father to listen them and ask his name he replied Raam Laal " houn karo merey tey tableegh"...they left humiliated.

Raam laal.. what it means and why be humiliated?

.
if they have brains they were tableeghi ?
Sir G, please refrain from joking for these people, they have chosen the very hard path of 'Tablegh', which is sunnah of Mohammad PBUH. Definitely they are better than me.

Raam Laal is a Hindu name.

I avoid the Tableeghis. At best they are irritating, at worst they act as teaching school to potential terrorists.

Why would you not use kerosene/diesel stove instead? Or use sticks and wood to cook in traditional way? Why would anyone take gas cylinder in a train?

The Godhra train burning incident was also similar.

Sir G, usually they only teach the very basics of Islam, only issue is with them they are a little stubborn while requesting you to join them for 'Tableegh' for 'Seh-Roza' a three days dedicated time for the purpose.

Yes, they are stubborn.

Some years ago they used to visit my house every Thursday saying "gasht pe nikle hain" and invite me to the mosque. But my stubbornness to not go to the mosque made them not to visit my house anymore. I don't know if they go on "gasht" anymore. :D

I see you leeching on Pakistani sentiments again.

Why don't you stick to Indian threads?
